Loved this rental property. Very well maintained. All the comforts of home.
If you are a nature lover/outdoors person or family, this is the perfect place for you. Lots of beautiful mountains, lakes, and waterfalls are a stones throw away.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. My little nephew enjoyed finding all the toys in the closet. The pantry was stacked with all the essentials.
Plenty of space to park our boat. I wish we would have stayed longer.
Great Place to stay in Jocassee - Very quiet and close to the lake
Property was clean and well maintained - also very quiet. The back porch was really nice. Internet access was available for those that want to stay connected. All the amenities of home and we really enjoyed it.
We rented a boat for a few days and the lake was really nice. The water level was way up during our stay so we could take the boat right up to most of the waterfalls. If you have never been on this lake and like this sort of thing, you should visit for sure. Great swimming, fishing, hiking, etc. You can also rent kayaks - We didn't do this but there were many on the lake the days we were out there. We did some hiking to other waterfalls in the area so we had an action packed week. When you visit, have a plan for sure and check on rentals a few weeks in advance.
I would stay at this property again without hesitation!
We love Lake Jocassee and this home was great!
We had a great time staying at Michelle's home in the mountains.
Very convenient to Devil's Fork State Park.
Super clean and comfortable.
Friendly neighbors (although not many neighbors, it's pretty rural up there)
Loved the front and back porches.
Kids loved the bunk beds and we were grateful for all the new puzzles and toys for them to play with.
Only downside was out of the owners control...power was out when we checked in due to a heavy storm from the previous day. Power was restored by the electric company within a few hours of check in and everything worked out fine.
We will stay here again!
Very well stocked and maintained ... owners have done an excellent job decorating and providing the amenities. perfect location for activities on Lake Jocassee, ( only like a mile to Devils Fork State Park), rafting the river rapids, and visiting the waterfalls for spectacular pictures!! The only thing I would have liked to have had would have been to be able to watch tv.. at least be able to see local news. I have no clue as to how to do the Apple TV, or Netflix, or Hulu ... or whatever those things are 😏😝😂.. accustomed to the satellite tv viewing ... even an anntanna for local news would have been nice ... BUT... I did enjoy the radio!! And I will say, I was not harmed in anyway doing without a TV for 4 days! 😀🤪. We definitely disconnected with our hectic lifestyles and reconnected to the beauty of nature ! Owners have lots of board games, cards, and puzzles as well as reading material! I loved reading about the development of Lake Jocassee and the book detailing the waterfalls in the county and surrounding counties! We had an absolutely amazing time and am so thankful to the owners for sharing their little piece of heaven with us!!
Family Christmas in the Mountains
We really enjoyed our time in this well appointed home and hope we can return soon.
