1930's historic cottage has been newly remodeled with all the modern day amenities so that you can spend your vacation in style. The cottage has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds, soft linens and a spacious bath. Kitchen is fully equipped with all that you need to prepare a gourmet meal. Accommodations include free wi-fi, long distance calling, and internet TV. Tennis courts and playground are just steps away. Enjoy lake access at nearby Mountain View Marina.

Travel to the nearby town of Murphy for a day of antique shopping. Or stroll through the farmers market on Saturdays for fresh local food from surrounding farms. Check out Deckers flea market for a truly unique find. Visit nearby Blue Ridge Georgia for shopping and restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. Stop by Mercier Orchards for apples, homemade pastries, hard cider and gifts. View the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains from a train car in Blue Ridge, GA or Nantahala Gorge.

If you are seeking adventure, raft on the Ocoee River in Tennessee or the Nantahala River in North Carolina. Or if you prefer a slower pace, kayak on the tranquil waters of the areas surrounding lakes. Hike the many trails that the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. Rent a pontoon or ski boat from the local marina and enjoy beautiful Lake Hiwasse. Other activities include water sports, zip line canopy tours, fishing, golf and many scenic drives.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Leave the beds unmade and leave used towels on the towel racks in the bathroom. The housekeeper will take care of the laundry
All household trash must be bagged and left in the trash bin in the alcove by the front porch.
If you use additional bed linens (other than what is on the beds when you check in) please wash/dry and return to storage case in the closet. Failing to do so will result in additional cleaning fees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
To maintain cleanliness and consistent quality for guests, sleeping is limited to designated beds and not on couch or other upholstered furniture
Garbage service will only pick up bagged household trash. Additional fees will be assessed for large or loose items placed in outside bins.

Wonderful Cottage

Everything about the stay was great! The cottage was very nice. It’s in a nice quiet location. It has all the modern conveniences and everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Amazing stay!

We always love the Dillingham’s cabin! So peaceful, quiet and relaxing! They communicate quickly and everything we needed was there. I have been going to Bear Paw for 47 years and we have been staying in this cabin for several years. Always a great stay!

Great cottage! Very remote and relaxing! I love the decor- new makeover mixed with the vintage pieces from the original cottage. I loved watching the cardinals in the front bushes! Everything was awesome!

Very nicely remodeled cabin in great location close to Pavillion and tennis courts. Only issue we had was with the WiFi that cut out a few times a day. Other than that it was a super clean, updated and a great place to stay! Definitely will be back again

This place is adorable! Super clean and comfortable with everything you need (in case you forgot something!) Highly recommend renting a boat from Mountainview Marina (inside the community) and exploring Lake Hiawassee. Plan your grocery trips wisely, as it is a 30 min drive to nearest grocery store. We would definitely rent here again!

family reunion stay

We arrived and the place exactly fit the pictures. Extremely clean and well appointed. Loved the mix of modern and the original home features - especially the older doors and hardware. We were tempted to play the old 8 tracks :-) but didn't. One night we had a glorious thunderstorm, so we sat out on the screened in porch and took it all in - fresh air, rain, ambience. Would love to retire in this community one day; it was lovely. Definitely recommending to others we know! Thanks for sharing your place!
