Why Owner chose Murphy
We enjoy the serenity that the mountains have to offer. Bear Paw, while maintaining its rustic charm, has amenities that we enjoy including the pool, marina, and tennis courts. We also appreciate the fact that it is a gated community and that the national forest surrounds us. There is no thru traffic, which makes it a very peaceful place.
What makes this House unique
We enjoy being able to go boating and fishing at the marina, which is inside Bear Paw. The tennis courts are convenient so that we can enjoy a game of tennis without having to travel to courts. The Olympic-size swimming pool is a nice place to meet people who live in Bear Paw or are vacationing from other areas. There is also a playground for children adjacent to the swimming pool and a covered pavilion which is nice for family reunions. The roads in Bear Paw are well-maintained, so taking long walks is easy.

Only suggestion would be that the owner sent the address as street and it is lane.
The home is nice, clean and peaceful. The guards at the gate are very nice. If the owner sends you the address as street it should actually be lane, due to there is the same address in the middle of town with st. which is not it. So coming in at 1 in the morning was not pleasant with the wrong address and we had driven about 10 miles out of the way. However, the home itself is very nice and as it looks on the site. I had seen on the review someone said something about the road to get there. We have stayed at a ton of places in this area and this road is very nice getting there compared to some of the others we have stayed at.
Loved this cabin!
The cabin was great. It’s bigger than I expected. There’s 3 floors which gave us room for everyone to spread out & have privacy & down time after we wore ourselves out with group activities. We spent a lot of time cooking and watching tv on the main level & hanging out on the huge porch on that level. The kitchen is stocked with every kind of utensil and gadget a person could want. We used the gas grille that’s on the porch. The master bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. There’s 3 full baths (One on each floor) which was wonderful. There was plenty of soap and toilet paper. The washer & dryer came in handy!
The cabin has WiFi. There’s no cell phone service so I was very grateful for the house phone. Bear Paw is a very nice upscale neighborhood. I like it because there’s enough people around that I feel safe but it also feels very remote because each cabin seems to be built to maximize the views of nature. This cabin sits all by itself on it’s own road which is extra nice.
Great location for me
Needed a place close to my sister's property; this turned out to be great....very close to her house. Great to have 3 bathrooms in a property this size.
We really enjoyed the stay.
The enting process was smooth and clear. We couldn't find the property the first night. For future renters: During the wintertime get there early and buy groceries before arriving. The Dam access road to Bear Paw Community is a little challenging. The mountain road has many curves, is steep and a bit dangerous at night. Specifically, when it is a raining day. The Cabin is isolated at the top of the hill surrounding by trees with lake view. It has all that you can ask for and more.
The place is beautiful
The road to go to the house was something else, you can’t go with a sedan. But the place is really clean and beautiful.
The road to our house is paved and very easy to drive. In ten years, I have never had a problem traveling the road with a 2 wheel drive vehicle.
Flea Markets, Whitewater Rafting, Gold Panning, bowling at the casino for all family members.
