Whether you’re an adventurous traveler or one who likes nothing better than to unwind with a few good books during your well-earned vacation, our family’s hideaway, which backs up to the extraordinary Red Rocks of Sedona, will provide you with first-class accommodations at a price that’s within your reach.
From the pillow-top mattresses and the luxurious bed linens to the thick cotton towels in the bathrooms; from the great room’s warm kiva fireplace and flat screen TV to the well-stocked kitchen with all newer appliances and granite countertops, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how “Javelina Haven” brings you so much value for your traveling dollars.
This custom built, three-bedroom, two-bath Pueblo-style home is tucked away in the quiet, semi-rural “Coffee Pot” neighborhood near the rock formation of the same name. Our getaway is on Maxwell House Drive; you’ll see other streets carrying similarly vintage coffee brand names to carry out the theme: Sanborn, Farmer Brothers, Nescafe. Our major cross street, off Highway 89, is Coffee Pot Drive. It’s clear that those who laid out Sedona’s streets had some fun naming them!
We believe you’ll be enchanted by the West Sedona setting and wowed by the rock formations that tower over the little canyon that opens to our backyard. From the great room, breakfast nook, dining area, master bedroom and the wraparound patio you’ll see the formations known as Capitol Butte, Three Golden Chiefs and Sugarloaf. And scenic Sugarloaf Trailhead, which provides hiking and mountain bike access to a host of trails, is less than two short blocks away from our vacation home.
Get away from it all. Enjoy a stay at Javelina Haven.

About Gil and Carol Cormaci
We are Gil & Carol Cormaci and we are both native Southern Californians. Our primary residence is in Pasadena, Calif. We bought our home in Sedona to have a getaway in the Red Rock Country of Arizona. Gil loves to hike. When we're vacationing there he's up very early to take hikes before breakfast. (Our house is just a short walk from the Sugarloaf Trailhead.) Carol is fascinated by the ancient Native American ruins that can be found all over Northern Arizona, and loves the fact the house can be a base for such explorations. We're both inspired by the extraordinary beauty of Sedona.
Gil and Carol Cormaci purchased this House in 2005
Why Gil and Carol Cormaci chose West Sedona
The semi-rural setting of our house, which we've nicknamed 'Javelina Haven,' provides a quiet, private place in which we can unwind. Yet, just a few minutes away are two well-stocked supermarkets and all the other services and amenities one might expect in an average-sized city, including restaurants, movie theaters, golf courses, art galleries, shopping opportunities and more, all surrounded by the amazing scenery.

Perfect in location and comfort!
Very comfortable, clean and well-equipped home at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in West Sedona. We loved hiking each day, right in the neighborhood, on trails with spectacular views! This location is perfect in a less congested area of Sedona, but within a short walk or drive to plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and hikes. The accommodations were great for three couples, with an amazing master bedroom and bath! Beds were very comfortable. The owners are very responsive when making arrangements and provide a good deal of detail about the home and surrounding area. If heading to Sedona, this is the place to stay!
Heaven at Javelina Haven!!!
My 4 sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at Javelina Haven - Using this lovely home as our base, we were able to walk to several nearby hiking trails, and drive to excellent nearby restaurants, shopping, and sunset views. The house was very roomy, with a nice deck out back and very comfortable beds. And, not to worry if you forget something - this house was the most well-stocked rental home we've ever found - plenty of cooking utensils, games, books, movies, etc. The owners of this wonderful home, Carol and Gil, encouraged us to make this home our own while we were in Sedona, and we felt very comfortable doing that because they made it so easy for us. At the end of our stay, we all agreed we had found the perfect house for our "sista's" reunion, and we all hope to go back to Sedona sometime in the future - if we do, there's no doubt where we'll be staying!
Fantastic views and perfect location!
Loved staying at this spic-n-span clean lovely house at the foot of Sedona's coffee pot rock. We just walked up the road to the trailhead and enjoyed gorgeous hikes everyday. Quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. Don't miss the Coffee Pot restaurant at the bottom of the road. It serves the best breakfast I've ever had! This is now my number one pick for a Sedona stay!
Beautiful, quiet and relaxing home!
We enjoyed the quiet of this home. The location was great as the grocery store was down the street as well as everything else. It was very relaxing and we would recommend this
home to anyone who wants to have some peaceful time in Sedona. The kitchen has everything you need! An added bonus was the snow we had last Wednesday. The photo opportunities were great! Thank You for sharing your home with us.
Everything you need in Sedona
This place is perfect and comfortable with a great view and great location. You can't go wrong here. Owners are great communicators and very nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Javelina Haven over Christmas week. The thoughtful owners even supplied us with a little Christmas tree - such a nice touch. The house is within walking distance of some of the best trails, and very close to the grocery stores/shopping centers. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. Excellent place to stay.
