About this property
SUMMER DISCOUNT for Sonoran Harmony
Nestled in the heart of the Catalina Foothills, one of Tucson, AZ's most cherished and safest neighborhoods, is a delightful, two-story, two bedroom, fully furnished house available for rent. This residence, packed with charm and character, offers a rare peek into comfortable, modern living combined with the serene vibe of a peaceful nature sanctuary. Its high ceilings, light-filled interior, artistic decor, recently remodeled kitchen and cozy furnishings make it a treat for those who appreciate a blend of southwestern aesthetics and contemporary convenience.
The house features two bedrooms, each designed to be a welcoming retreat after an adventure in the city, or time spent exploring nearby national parks and open spaces that surround this neighborhood. The downstairs master bedroom has a comfortable, king-sized bed, dresser, bed stands, a large closet and a private, full bathroom with double sink. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed, a walk-in closet, nightstands and dresser, a computer work station, and a private bathroom with combined shower and tub.
Other key features include a community hot tub and pool, private backyard with mountain views and a garage with storage.
The high ceilings in the living room and dining area provide a beacon of light and homey elegance. The living room's inviting couch and recliner affords relaxation and the large screen, smart TV offers entertainment including You Tube TV, Apple TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Other streaming services are available through your personal subscriptions. A bookshelf brimming with books ready for your perusal enhances the entertainment options downstairs. The open floor plan includes a dining area equipped with a table and six chairs.
The remodeled kitchen, with its' white quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, is an ode to modernity. It is equipped with a toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, blender and a full suite of cookware offering culinary exploration with ease.
Beyond the home's interior lies a very private, peaceful, backyard garden. Comfortable outdoor furniture supports enjoyment of the mountain views and spectacular sunsets. A lovely Mesquite tree shades and cools the patio on warm days, and an adjacent grove of Cottonwood trees lines an intermittent stream (known as a "wash" in these parts) providing a refreshing oasis in the desert. You can simply walk right from the house down into the wash and meander for miles!
This home is also located ½ mile from grocery stores, restaurants, galleries and shops. It is about a 20 minute drive to the University of Arizona and a little further to downtown Tucson with even more opportunities to experience Tucson's lively, creative culture. The majestic "Sabino Canyon Recreation Area" is less than a mile away offering world class hiking trails, bicycling and a shuttle into this unique and incredibly beautiful Sonoran Desert oasis. Ventana Canyon Resort and Golf Course is also less than a mile away.
This property isn't just a house; it's a gateway to life's simple pleasures, and Tucson's vibrant community spirit.. A minimum 30 days is required for booking.

About the host
Hosted by Melaney Seacat
I am semi retired and work part-time in private practice as a trauma therapist. My home in Tucson is my sanctuary 9 months out of the year. Other times I travel and visit family and friends in California. I have had a great experience renting to people on VRBO during times when I am not at home. That said, I stopped renting for the past few years so my listing is probably not showing any reviews. I love hiking, yoga, meditation and cooking!
Why they chose this property
Proximity to the best Tucson has to offer in outdoor recreation, shopping, and dining. Lovely, quiet, friendly neighborhood. Peaceful atmosphere - feels like a nature or artists retreat. The serene atmosphere, comfortable furnishings, livable outdoor patio with lots of shade; and being less than a mile from Sabino Canyon with perennial streams and world class hiking trails are some of the key attributes that makes this property a gem.
What makes this property unique
Other unique benefits include proximity to the best hiking trails in SW Arizona! Bird life on my backdoor patio. A live music venue just down the street. An internationally renowned health resort, spa and golf course just up the street. We are also close to the scenic drive up to spectacular Mount Lemon.
