This has to be one of the better locations in town. The beach is right out the door and the restaurant and nightclub scene is a few blocks away. When you come back at night from the vibrant and loud fifth street the condo is peaceful and quiet. My kids had a blast. You really dont need a car but they do have a garage which is handy.

My wife and I and our adult son stayed at Aldea Thai over Thanksgiving week 2025 and it was wonderful. The rooftop space with pool was amazing and super relaxing. We were a short 4-minute walk to 5th Street or even less to a taxi stand. Emiliano was our concierge, who added a great dimension to our stay. He booked private tours for us and answered questions we had about Playa and even pointed us to a wonderful vegan taco stand (DejaVuFree) which we ate at numerous times.

Penthouse paradise

The rooftop deck is amazing because the pool is perfect refreshment. The house was lovely and neat. The only update or suggestion might.be new mattresses and laundry services. The concierge Fernando is super helpful.and responsive. Great stay!

We had an amazing time here. This unit was beautifully decorated and spacious and was perfect for our family of five (couple + kids ages 11, 9, and 6). What we loved the best: 1. perfect proximity to a great beach AND to 5th Avenue. 2. the rooftop area and private pool. This was great for a super quick dip, especially at night. We enjoyed dinner on the roof as well. 3. fully equipped kitchen. We were able to eat breakfast and lunches at our leisure after doing a quick shop (there is a WalMart a short cab ride away, but there are two "Oxxo" convenience stores within a block). 4. big general pool with three different depths. The kids actually liked this better than the ocean (waves were pretty big when we went). One note for families: This unit doesn't have a washer or dryer. When you're in the water a lot, and things get sandy, this is a bit of a challenge, so bring multiple swimsuits - there is a drying rack that we kept on the balcony and the breeze generally dried suits and towels overnight if the humidity wasn't too high. There is a laundry service just down the street in case you need it (we didn't). The property managers were very prompt and professional in their responses - excellent communication. We also had wonderful interactions with the front desk and bell staff and the airport transfer company the property owners recommended. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

What can I say other than spectacular! The rooftop was the nicest one in the complex by far...our own private oasis with private pool. The weather was not so great -on and off rain/wind- at the beach so we spent most of our time enjoying our pool. The condo inside is really beautiful and the owners have decor from thier travels all over Southeast Asia. Everything was immaculately kept. We had an amazing time and the condo is convenient to everything. We had no noise issues here as the condo is located on the side of the building with no restaurants. The management was extremely helpful and spoke English. We will be back!

We spent most of our time on the rooftop space. The area was so comfortable with the separate seating areas for both sun and shade and we went in and out of the pool all day. Amazing restaurants close by for dinner also. The most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years!

What a wonderful stay at Aldea Thai. The owner Ruben was very accommodating and always available if we had a question. The condo is very clean and everything was exactly as described in the VRBO listing. Jose Luis was very attentive to all our needs during our stay: airport pick -up, groceries, hiring a chef. You will love the rooftop living area, pool( cleaned daily) and great space and comfort it provides. This condo will exceed all your expectations!!!!! We will be back for another PDC vacation and will not stay anywhere else but here!!!!
