Exceeded expectations

Wonderful home. Had everything we could need. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. Great communication from owner. As a city guy from the Midwest, I have 2 pieces of advice. Be prepared for the altitude. It’s over 10,000 ft above sea level. Also, if you get the chance, turn off all the lights and step out into the deck on a clear night, the sky is amazing. Close to lots of great hiking. Fairplay is close with good restaurants, a great grocery store, and the friendliest people.

Home away from home

I stayed here with my husband and our three children. It was an AMAZING stay. The location was beautiful, and the home was wonderful. We were far enough away that we felt secluded in the woods, but close enough to town that we could go pick up whatever we needed. The communication with the property manager was top notch and the entire process was simple and easy. My entire family loved this home and it was hard for us to say goodbye.

Wonderful stay!

The cabin/house was everything that we hoped it would be….totally comfortable!All the furniture was comfortable and in good shape. The kitchen was completely stocked with cooking utensils. Not just the basics. You can tell the owners spend time at the house with how everything is just….almost perfect. The upper and lower deck has comfortable outdoor furniture! This was a biggie for us as we had planned on lots of outside time on the porch in the beautiful weather. The porches/decks were amazing. The pool table was in very good condition with what looked like new sticks. A great way for us to spend the evening. Shower doors instead of shower curtains…once again the small details make this cabin perfect. Although there were only 2 of us on this trip the house would fit 3 couples with some kids. I think we have found a true mountain getaway for the future. We are already talking about the next trip….maybe with the kids and grandkids this time. There is plenty of room.

Perfect family retreat

Great homebase for all our CO adventures around Breck, BV and Springs. The house was perfectly stocked and super comfortable for our whole family.

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

Our extended family (3 adults / 3 teenagers) really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful secluded mountain cabin outside for Fairplay. The property had everything we needed to relax and explore. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needs, including most spices, etc. The view is spectacular at night for viewing the stars / Milky Way, as well as a the Sunrise. Perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or your favorite drink. The neighborhood is quite and down a packed gravel/dirt road - that like most moutain roads of the such does get pot holes and wash boarded at times. We were there in June - so no 4WD needed, but in the winter it would be a must. There is great hiking and areas to explore. Be aware if you are sensitive to alltitude that the cabin is over 10,000 feet - so be sure to drink plenty of water and take time to acclimate. There are a lot of fun things to do in and around Fairplay, The Prather's Market has all you need, and SouthPark Brewing has excellent beer, food and service. We have tried several of the resturants in town and they great too. Obviously is a great jumping off point as there a ton of options with a short drive for hiking trails, towns to explore, etc. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and would stay here again in the future.

Great Decks & A Nice Getaway

We chose this home for a getaway with family. We enjoyed spending time outside on the two decks, and walking in the neighborhood and exploring some area hiking trails. It’s a short drive to Fairplay if you want, but the kitchen and house was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, grill, etc., which made it convenient to have meals at the house. Minor complaints since it was vacation and not the purpose of the trip, but the TVs/satellite were difficult to function or did not connect. There were no instructions for how to use them. If you’re looking for a spot to remote work, the wireless internet here was very weak. Some of the bath towels were musty as well. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would consider it again.

Beyond expectations

The listing and pictures of the location do not do this property justice. We stayed for 7 nights this summer just enjoying our time in the woods. The house is stocked with all that you need and then some. All beds and furniture are in great shape and are amazingly comfortable. In our group were two adults, a 19, 21, 15, and 14 year old. The pool table/ping pong along with corn hole and other games were key. We enjoyed ourselves after days of hiking, ATV, and Horseback all nearby. The little town of fairplay along with Alma have everything you could need. This is a special place. We found ourselves just staying “home” a few days because it really is private and beautifully quiet. Great home!!

Don't hesitate to book!

This is a beautiful home and everything is cared for and very clean. There were so many extra little touches, too. There were toys for the littles and games for the adults. The kitchen had everything you could want-non stick skillets, good knives, crock pots, baking pans, and cookie sheets. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We all had a wonderful time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Summer Retreat

This cabin home offered a peaceful place for our family's Summer vacation. The beautiful views and close proximity to Pike National Forest are both great. The property owner was very helpful and kind.

Our family had a great time at this property. We were even visited by a moose! We didn't have great communication with the property management company, but all worked out in the end.

PERFECT VACATION!!!

I don't even know where to begin, this cabin left me speechless from the moment we got there till the moment we left. We made soooo many memories with the kids that we will always cherish. The cabin was not missing a single thing. Every square inch of the home was clean and in perfect conditions. Every morning we would hang out in the balcony with some hot chocolate. Thank you everyone that had a part in making this wonderful home PERFECT.

Great Cabin

We rented this cabin for a guys trip to snowboard a few days at Breckinridge. The cabin did not disappoint at all. Super clean and welcoming cabin. I highly recommend the cabin and would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time here, and the house was wonderful. There is a nice area by the driveway for activities, but really not a yard to "play in." It's an absolutely gorgeous house and we had a blast just hanging out and playing cards and other games with our family.
