Our yurt is candle and lantern friendly. We supply plenty of both. There is no electricity. This is the best yurt for relaxing in the woods with no one around and enjoying the coziness. We have gas flat top grill outside and a 2 burner propane cooktop inside. You may also enjoy our beautiful relaxing firepit outback. plenty of trails to walk. There is a $15.00 unlimited firewood fee. We also supply paper plates, paper towels, plastic ware, real knives, 2 gallons drinking water etc.... You pretty much only need to bring your food and something to keep it in.

If you want to check out the best yurt around... This is it! Our yurt is the finest in NH.
You can enjoy our awesome yurt with the cozy Woodstove on the cooler nights . We have our cozy woodstove to keep you warm. 😉
Our yurt is handicap accessible yet out in the wilderness. It sleeps 5. We have a bunk bed, a full size futon and a brand new over sized twin cot. Just bring a sleeping bag for extra comfort for the cot if you want extra padding. All fresh bedding is included. There are games, coloring, books, Lincoln logs etc.. for the kiddos and adults as well. All that good ole fashioned fun. We include pots, pans, utensils, condiments, salt, pepper, etc... you really just need to bring your food and a cooler to keep it in.
Come stay at NH's most relaxing yurt and visit amenities such as Alton Bay for fishing, Ahern State Park for more trails... after walking our great selection from the 🛖😀....Wolfeboro NH for shops and sit by Lake Winnipesaukee while enjoying a meal or ice cream at Alton Bay. Watch the Mount Washington boat or take a ride on it in the warm weather. Gunstock Ski Area for Summer and Winter activities. Hike the popular Mt. Major and others. Go kayaking minutes away at River Run on Merrymeeting only 2 miles away. We are a half hour away from the Pavilion in Gilford. Enjoy great arcade games and bowling on those rainy days at Funspot at Weirs Beach NH. Take your furry family members to the water at Merrymeeting on rt.11, Liberty Tree Park, Allison Beatty and others. Come enjoy the beautiful yurt setting and relax, recoup and
de-stress! We also have walking trails to enjoy.
You'll be glad you checked it out!
We also know that people enjoy a cocktail every now and then. We have had some unfortunate times with guests who apparently overdid and ask that you respect the hard work that we have put into our Yurt property and if drinking, drink responsibly (: Thank you... One more thing we unfortunately have to ask... My husband works hard at keeping the awesome outhouse clean and smell free. We would GREATLY appreciate it if EVERYONE would walk those few steps to use the outhouse instead of urinating out the door or anywhere else besides the outhouse. It's unfortunate I have to mention these things but circumstances arise 😑🙄😳
Pets upon approval! PLEASE let us know if you are thinking of bringing a pet. Thank you to all! We DO SINCERELY APPRECIATE your business. 😊
In case you ever need our mailing address, we had to change it because of theft to a PO Box.

Family friendly fun!

We loved our stay in the yurt! Our 5 and 3 year old were delighted with everything. We explored, made a fire and when it came time to pack up, there were toys and art supplies that kept the littles occupied! We would love to stay again.

Really cozy. We were in the area for a Bonnie Raitt concert. You're deep in the forest. Animal sounds at night. The indoor fireplace is super nice, romantic, and warm. Acetylene torch makes starting the fire very easy. (Nice outside firepit too.) Nice decor inside. Invigorating outside shower. I'd never used an outdoor flat grill before. It's very easy and cooks everything perfectly, breakfast or dinner. Be sure to pet the mini horses and the donkey. Bring them apple slices. I'd only suggest that the hosts provide towels for the shower. Maybe some soap and shampoo too. They're both super chill, informative, and friendly. I'd like to come back soon, perhaps in the fall. My restaurant recommendation: Taco Bay in Alton Bay.

Great first Yurt experience!

My husband and I were looking for something ‘different’ to do which can be difficult in the winter but we found it!!! It was an amazing experience. The yurt was spacious yet cozy, it had everything we could need and Wendy and Ron were phenomenal hosts! We are definitely looking forward to returning.

Perfect "camping" adventure

We booked this as a last-minute end-of-summer adventure with our two little ones and were blown away. Wendy sent us dog-friendly lunch/hiking spots before we arrived and met us to check-in. She was amazing and showed us everything we needed. We loved the yurt and our kids had the time of their lives exploring the woods and meeting her animals. We will definitely be back next year!

My wife and I stayed here for the 2nd time and this time we brought our dog. this is such a great spot to get away, recharge, and relax! You are in the middle of nowhere and at the same time just short drive from beautiful Alton Bay. Thank you once again Wendy and Ronn for being so accommodating! We truly do love the yurt life!

Beautiful, secluded woodland retreat.

We enjoyed our stay in the Yurt. There is a nearby outhouse and fire pit. The owners were nice and very responsive to questions and concerns (we had no issues). When I say woodland retreat, I mean it. We enjoyed not having a bunch of nearby campers. It is secluded, so, keep that in mind. Overall great experience! The lake with kayak and boat rentals is nearby as are many hiking trails. I would stay again.

Great Man-Cation

We stayed at the yurt for a brother's weekend, we were pleasantly surprised at how much was provided by the hosts, we had everything we needed. Hiking in the area was beautiful! We loved sitting by the fire late into the evening, beds were comfortable and outhouse, shower was well maintained and comfortable. Having the shower in that location is both practical and thoughtful! AND hand sanitizer everywhere, along with lights and candles. It's very clear the owners have thought through the details of having guests stay there!!!

Fantastic!

From the start, this was such a wonderful and hospitable stay. The hosts, Wendy and Ron, clearly thought of everything when putting this yurt site together. Our stay was comfortable and fun - even with our two daughters ages 7 & 9. The yurt is stocked with games, candles, firewood and a camp stove inside. Outside is a gas grill, a very clean and non-smelly outhouse, an outdoor shower, and a very nice fire pit area. Loved the natural looking landscaping leading to the fire! We would definitely stay again. What a great way to unplug and spend time together in a private, comfortable setting.

Loved It!

This was the perfect combination of camping and cabining! Wendy was a great host - she was quick to respond to questions and had the yurt stocked with everything we might need - games, lanterns, lighters, napkins, plates, utensils, firewood, and lots of water! It's hard to believe, but true, the outhouse didn't smell at all! It was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor shower worked well and was pretty neat! We were very impressed with the size of the yurt and how well kept it is. It is even better than the pictures! It was very private - we had the woods to ourselves. You drive a few minutes down a very woodsy dirt road that wander thru the owners 30 acre property to get to it. It was an added bonus that we were able to visit with the mini horses, donkey and pigs when coming and going from the property. Wendy and Ron have really done everything to make their guests comfortable and even went so far as to ask if we thought of anything that was missing or had suggestions to make it better.

We had an absolutely incredible time exploring New Hampshire, and we feel so grateful for this experience. Stayed at Lakes Region Yurts, which was exactly what we needed for a peaceful and rejuvenating first-time yurt experience. The serene atmosphere was perfect, with absolutely no distractions. The owners, Wendy and Ronn, have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, except for food and drinks, of course. We loved the outdoor shower with hot water. We embarked on an exhilarating adventure, exploring 4x4 trails with Gunther on Caverly Rd to Devils Den Road near Merrymeeting Lake, drove around the stunning Lake Winnipesaukee, discovered a fire tower, stopped at Weirs Beach, and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset dinner boat cruise on the Mt Washington ship, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display. I feel so fortunate to share these unforgettable adventures.

Perfect spot!

My friend and I stayed here for one night because we were seeing a concert at the Bank of NH Pavillon, it was the perfect location, only a few minutes from downtown Alton Bay. The yurt was so cozy, clean, and every detail was thought through! It had essentially everything you could need, including a clean outhouse, warm outdoor shower, linens, games, kitchen supplies, and a beautiful fire pit area! There are also a bunch of trails from the yurt through the woods. The hosts were also incredible, very helpful, considerate, and friendly, but also respected our privacy and truly put a lot of effort into ensuring their guests have an enjoyable trip. Highly recommend, we will be back!

My husband, son and I purchased the yurt used. It was in a wooded setting accessible only by our ATV and small trailer. There are over 100 boards in the floor alone which all had to be numbered for "easier" reassembling. We loaded as much as we could on the 4x8 trailer hauled it with the ATV out the tote road to a 20' trailer where we off loaded and headed back for the next load. We did quite a few trips on a 90 degree day before it was ready to be hauled back here to off load at our property and reassemble. We love it and love to share the peacefulness. We hope all our past and present yurt friends enjoy it as well!

Why they chose this property

My husband and our son Benn had cleared a site years before to build a cabin which never happened. We came across the yurt opportunity and decided it would be a GREAT spot to set up the yurt instead.

What makes this property unique

Family run business who appreciates their yurt friends.
