About Mark and Jacinta Cothran

We are a family of 4 and look forward to sharing our favorite place in the world with you! Though we are based in the Caribbean we visit our Colorado mountain home as much as possible. We love the forest views and easy access to ski and bike trails and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle afforded us at Lazy Fox very much. Our twin daughters learned to ski nearby and love to bring their friends here in summer as much as winter. We host large family get togethers in the home and hope you enjoy making fond and happy memories at Lazy Fox too!

We are very happy to welcome you to our home, we are very involved in the hospitality industry and own an award-winning hotel (Little Arches Boutique Hotel) in Barbados so are always looking our for ways to make our guests feel at home and comfortable. Enjoy!

Why Mark and Jacinta Cothran chose Warrior's Mark

We chose Lazy Fox after an extensive (just ask our realtor!) search of Breckenridge for that one place that could provide us with privacy, views, proximity to skiing, hiking and bike trails as well as not being far from town for its great atmosphere and things to do. Lazy Fox Lodge was the obvious choice for us. We had been looking for a place in the mountains for several years and once we visited the town of Breckenridge with its unassuming charm and friendly people we knew this was where we wanted to be. Finding Lazy Fox tucked away in the cul de sac at the very top of White Cloud Drive was the icing on the cake!

What makes this house unique

Lazy Fox Lodge is set in a location like no other with noting but hundreds of thousands of acres of National Forest as its back yard. It's far enough from town to afford privacy and a location nestled in the woods, yet close enough to be on the slopes in minutes or hiking on incredible trails outside the back door. Walking to town in summer is lovely either down the neighborhood roads past the lovely homes, or through the back door through the trees. Bars, restaurants, the rec trail and rec center are mere few minutes drive minutes away if you don't want to walk. We personally love the layout of the home in which you can have large gatherings yet there are many areas for people to spread out and lay by the fire, play some games or have a glass of wine in the hot tub looking out into the endless trees...

Great house but didn’t like the service.

  • 4 of 5

We loved the house, very big and full of space for all our family. The backyard view is amazing.

I had a feel complains. First , the wasn’t so cleaning, after try to talk for a long time i got to talk to the owner and she send the cleaning company again, but still wasn’t very clean.

We had to ask for wine glasses, the house didn’t had. Also we had to buy butano gas cause the barbecue was empty and we couldn’t use.

The house wasn’t ski in, cause peak 10 wasn’t open, they should be more clear about this. And the ski out wasn’t at our backyard , was 7 houses down the street.

But the worst party was not have anumber to call to deal with all this. The property management didn’t return any of my calls, was always unavailable.

Anyway, i like the house very much, but don’t know if i ll rent again cause i don’t want to deal with all this problems on my holydays.

Exceeded my expectations

  • 4 of 5

Was pleasantly surprised to find the home on top of the mountain side tucked away at the end of a cul du sac. Could not beat the location. We were able to walk out the back door and right onto trails. No one behind us. Very private and beautiful setting. The home looked nice in the pictures, but was even nicer than expected. Plenty of room. Very clean and comfortable.

A beautiful, cozy home

  • 5 of 5

We had 11 family members gathered at this cozy home for a vacation. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was large and fully equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful fireplace and living room. Thanks so much to Jacinta for sharing her home with us.

Great place to spend some time in Breckenridge

  • 4 of 5

Outside of the driveway not being plowed when we got there and a smoke detector not communicating to the security system causing the panel to beep throughout an entire night (we were able to silence the following morning) during out stay this place couldn't have been better for our weekend stay. Their was more than enough room for the 10 of us, huge open floor plan on the first floor allowed us old friends to share memories and hang. The bedrooms were roomy and memory foam bed (some complaints on the stiffness). We'd rent this place again as the owners and property manager acted as quickly as they could to all issues that came up during our stay.

Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Owner's Response: Hi John! Thanks for the feedback. As soon as you left we had the whole alarm system serviced as we became aware (too late obviously!) that some of the batteries were low and were alerting because of that. Also apologies about the driveway being under several inches of snow on your arrival- we had a miscommunication with our usual people but hopefully got that sorted out before it became a bigger nuisance than it already was. Hope to see you again! Jacinta

Super Bowl Weekend with Friends in Breckenridge

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What a stunningly beautiful and spacious house Marc & Jancinta have! My friends and I had an amazing weekend in Breckenridge skiing and snowboarding the slopes and had an especially nice time spending time in their home. We ended up saving quite a bit of money, as their home was large enough to accommodate our group that we never found ourselves heading into town for food/drinks/entertainment. Instead, we all hung out and cooked at the house. We even had our own Super Bowl party at the house!

The only hiccup we had was when the cable stopped working right prior to kick-off. But this wasn't their fault, it was Comcast, as the whole town was cut-off from service. Regardless, their local contact, Trace, was quick to come check the situation out for herself. She arrived within minutes of my call! She was very nice and had Comcast one the phone within minutes as well. Very impressed, to say the least : )

Overall, I can't say enough about our stay at this VRBO location. Jancinta was always very fast and thorough with her responses with me, the home was beautiful, location was great, hot tub was wonderful, and the back yard of forested land for us to snowshoe around was quite enjoyable as well.

Thanks again for letting us stay in your home!

Beautiful home, great location! 5/5!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a fun work trip at Lazy Fox! The location was great to skiing and Downtown! The house itself provided for great entertainment(open concept). We also loved the hot tub after a long day of skiing or for us that went into town! :)

We will be back for sure!

The perfect Ski Location! Lazy Fox Lodge backs thousands of acres of national forest so once you walk out (or ski out!) the back door you can join the Burro Trail and ski down to the lifts at the base of Peak 9. Returning is through the trees off Peak 10. This is a black run so we would recommend only more experienced skiers make the return journey on skis.

If you prefer to drive, the lodge is only 1.5 miles to the gondola station, no more than about 5-7 minutes in the car.

A haven for mountain-bikers! Though known worldwide for it's incredible skiing what’s slightly less known outside of Colorado, is that Breckenridge also hosts an equally big, diverse, and excellent network of singletrack for everything from the timid novice to the super-adventurous expert. One of the things that makes Breck so wonderful as a mountain bike destination is that many of the great routes are accessible directly from town with no driving or shuttling required. Walk out the back door of Lazy Fox Lodge and find yourself mere yards from the Burro Trail which offers easy access to town and the wealth of mountain bike trails plus the rec path which can be followed from Breckenridge all the way through Frisco, Copper Mountain, Vail and beyond. The whole family can happily enjoy the Vail Pass- an all downhill run from midway between Vail and Frisco. Gorgeous scenery and a paved trail make it suitable for everyone.

Lazy Fox Lodge is ideally situated ideally close to town with its many world class dining and a great selection of bars. Some of our favorites include Blue Stag Saloon, Briar Rose and Blue Moose for breakfast. Breckenridge Brewery is at the bottom of the hill of the Warriors Mark neighbourhood and is one of the more popular Apres Ski destinations in town.
