1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 3 adults
A warm, garden cottage nestled in a grotto in the heart of Manitou. This renovated boutique (320 sq. ft.) dwelling dates to 1896, and is seconds to springs, coffee houses, shops, trails & spas. The Nest is a half block from Manitou Avenue but surprisingly private, and it is surrounded by nature.
The cottage has three rooms--a bedroom, a living room with adjoining kitchenette, and a 3/4 bath.
A full-sized, memory foam bed in a separate bedroom provides great comfort and privacy. Baseboard heat (dedicated and adjustable) sets the room to your most comfortable sleeping temperature. The bedroom has a door that opens to an outdoor seating area behind the cottage. The room contains a TV, DVD player and DVD collection, as well as shelves for storing clothes.
The Living Room is equipped with a Jotul gas heating stove, a sectional couch with end tables, a round, and a circular, wooden table settee with two chairs. The room is perfect for lounging, and the couch, one section of which lifts up for storage becomes a queen-sized bed for one additional adult guest or two children.
The kitchenette adjoins the living room. It has a half-sized fridge, toaster oven, microwave and double sink, electric water boiler, french press, a all the necessary plates, mugs and utensils. The gas stove top serves as prep space, but can be utilized for stove top cooking if/as necessary.
Soak up the intimate environment of the garden, with limestone retaining wall and patio seating, both in front of the cottage and in a nature nook off of the bedroom. Sunlight beams into the cottage through windows on all sides, and through a skylight over the shower. Sun-filtering blinds and a gas stove are perfect for those days when you just want to curl up in a soft, warm blanket and read while you sip hot tea.

Great for what we needed.
This is a very cute and useful little hideaway right in the middle of Manitou Springs. Very convenient to the local shops and restaurants.
We were greeted by Chris the owner who was waiting for us as we were running a little later than expected. He offered any help during our stay. The inside is very cozy but lacks nothing. If you are looking for comfort and convenience in Manitou Springs this is your place.
Lovely cozy cottage
I really loved the look of this place online and was not disappointed. The location is perfect, close enough to walk to town yet in a quiet relaxing environment. The cottage is very small, so if you’re particularly tall it may not be for you, however it was perfect in every other way. I loved the small homely touches scattered throughout, the bed was comfy and everywhere was very clean. I would definitely recommend. The chickens, rabbit and cat living onsite are also adorable!!
Perfect for all of our needs!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Nest! The house was adorable and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay! We will visit again for sure!
The perfect getaway
I could not have asked for a better getaway. This cottage is cozy and extremely convenient. I did not have a car during my stay, and I was able to walk everywhere in downtown Manitou Springs. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming! I will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!
The cottage met our family of four’s needs perfectly. Private parking was easy, location was just right to walk and explore town with the kids, and the friendly owner came out to chat and even brought us fresh eggs one morning. Great hospitality and a modest, comfortable cottage made for a lovely trip. We would stay here again next time we’re in the area!
Parking is very tight for a full size pickup. Smaller than we wanted but loved the location. Bed didn't fit us.
