The Convention center and Downtown is 20 minutes (13 miles) away, Bush Gardens, Moffitt and USF are 6 - 7 miles away. One of Dr Beach's top beaches is 25 miles away, and you can reach Disney or the Space Coast within a short drive. The airport is about 20 minutes down the veterans....

Our Lutz Cottage has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps eight in about two thousand square feet. It has a pool with a screened lanai with grill and covered sitting area -- so the mosquitoes will not carry you away as you enjoy the great Florida climate.

If you are the out-doors-y type, this is where you would sip your wine. If you are Canadian, this is where you would swim in the dead of winter while Floridians would not dip a toe in the water for six months!

So if you have twelve golfing friends who each want their own bedroom, we have three houses that fit the bill!

The cottage has groceries and shopping close by in several directions. Dale Mabry highway with more shops than an Indian bazaar is only two miles East as is the Veterans Expressway. Three miles South West is I-275, a quick jump to Downtown, Busch Gardens, USF, St Pete and Clearwater.

Our Lutz Cottage has two king size beds and four twin beds in four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

You will love the master bathroom with its whirlpool tub, glass shower and his and her sinks.

Your guests can slum it in the spare bathroom while you enjoy the bubbles in the the jet tub. Now, don't turn on the switch to the whirlpool until the water in the tub is three inches over the back jet, or there will be a cleanup on isle nine as the water will shoot clear out of the tub!

You must agree to be smarter than the tub!

Sitting out on the lanai by the pool, you can look out at the large back yard and the trees, and if you want to throw a ball or walk the dog, this would be the place to do it.

When escaping the Florida heat, you can relax inside in the AC, and surf the web on our cottage WiFi, or watch Netflix movies on our 48 inch smart TV.

Out front, there is plenty of parking for your relatives on the driveway.

The cottage is fully equipped, so just bring your clothes and food. We supply paper towels, coffee filters and more. There is a tea kettle and a laundry room with a washer/dryer and ironing board if you stay for a while.

If you are an exercise fanatic, there are very pleasant and quiet streets that are great for walking and if you are a glutton for punishment, jogging. There is a great five mile route that we routinely cycle here too.

We have a custom manual detailing area attractions, beaches, restaurants and information about the house for you when you arrive.

Perfect Winter Escape

I wish I had planned a longer stay. The place was plenty spacious, and I loved being out on the lanai, still a little too cold for swimming, but quite relaxing and pleasant. Lots of great food and activities all around. Owner was exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

Spring getaway

This property was just perfect. We stayed 2 weeks, was close to everything we needed. Our stay was middle of March. There was a lot to see and do. This home was very clean well stocked, had trouble with a sink drain but the host was there within minutes to fix it. The pool was nice, a little cold but what do you expect for March. Would highly recommend.

Love the Lutz Cottage

This is the second year we have stayed at the Lutz Cottage. It is perfectly located to get anywhere in the Tampa area. There is plenty of space and the outdoor pool area is lovely. Jonathon is great at communicating with us and answering any questions. We will definitely be back!!

Great time in the Tampa area

The house was great, the pool was definitely a bonus for the trip. We had family over for a cook-out on the built in grill. The kids absolutely loved the pool. The house was gorgeous and well kept. It's in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping. Jonathan was a gracious host, very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend this property if you are staying in the area. I would happily stay again next time I travel to Tampa.

I rented this home with my husband, our 14 year old son, our 5 month old daughter, and our moms who are in their 70's. Having a private pool was great but what really made our trip was that the owner made sure that we had access to a pack 'n play and a high chair. My husband and I have already talked about staying here again with friends of ours the next time that we leave the cold of Wisconsin.

Great for family vacation

If you are looking for a home away from home. the Lutz Cottage is perfect. Lots of privacy for the family, We had three generations and there was plenty of space for everyone to join in family fun or to get some quiet time if they needed it. We found the home very convenient and took us less than an hour and a half to get to Disney World. Jonathan was very responsive when we had questions or needed something. Huge jetted tub in the master suite was tempting. We didn't find time to use it. Maybe next time. I can highly recommend the Lutz Cottage for families vacationing in the Tampa area.

Comfortable, relaxing and well maintained

We were greeted by the owner when we arrived and found him interesting and accomodating. He even brought us a large work table for our 3000 piece jigsaw puzzle. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. We spent six weeks there and had two very small issues that were handled very quickly. We enjoyed the area as it is centrally located and found many state parks to explore. If you enjoy Baseball, there are several parks in the area for spring training.The pool is lovely and there is good cycling, Television easy to use and houses has wifi. Numerous good restaurants in the area, but the kitchen is well supplied if you want to cook. There also is a nice gas grill..

OK, but would not rent again

We looked at this property on-line, reviewed generally high ratings and booked for a three week stay. The pluses are: great location, lots of space, generally well maintained, allows pets (but no fenced yard), pool (not heated), Nice TV (only one located main living area with Netflix, etc.), reasonably priced. The minuses are: well water is supply source for this property and it is very discolored and has somewhat of a smell (we bought bottled drinking water for ourselves and pets), the kitchen pans need to be replaced as teflon is all scratched off, supply air vents are filthy, bugs in kitchen light fixtures need to be cleaned, bathtub in second bath backs up, and stove top appears old and slow to heat. The landlord was responsive and lives very close to cottage. I point these issues out as we were somewhat surprised when we arrived as the pics are better than the real home. We learned a lesson to do better due diligence.

Needs Improvement

We stayed not as a vacation but of necessity while our home was under repair. Two issues 1.). The rugs were dirty so my wife rolled them up. The floor was dirty underneath to the point that one had to wear shoes or wash your feet. 2.). The internet connection was slow and weak. The under lying carrier was Spectrum. Their speed is both substandard and as a cable service the node is shared and the lag time long. Additionally the WiFi router is old and slow. As such I was partly able to compensate by adding my own WiFi router. As I was working remotely during the stay that was necessary.

I have seen families getting to spend time with each other or to unite and welcome a newborn in to the world. I see graduations being celebrated with great joy.
