Fantastic Property!
I have rented condos on Sanibel/Captiva for 5 years in a row now and Captiva Shores 6A is my favorite. It’s not as big as those in Sunset Captiva but bigger isn’t always better. The condition of the condo was great, nothing needed to be repaired while we were there, and no issues with bugs or ants. Location was fantastic, the beach was about a 2 minute walk away with no steps to maneuver the beach gear and crossing the road wasn’t a problem at all. Usually we drive to Captiva so I’m able to bring all our beach stuff but this time we flew so I was a little worried about the beach gear that would be provided. We even bought chairs at Publix before arriving but nothing to worry about! Great chairs, large umbrella and a huge cart to carry everything in. The only thing that was missing I would’ve liked to have were a couple of rods to go fishing off the pier on the property. Nothing negative to comment on but there were a few hiccups. The lockbox sticks, so it was difficult to open to get our keys on arrival. Property Manager was very responsive and friendly though and was on his way to help when I finally got the box to open. Booklet in the condo also mentioned a BBQ but there aren’t any on the property. There was one in the shared garage but it was on the “other” side so we assumed it belonged to the other condo unit. As I said just minor hiccups. WiFi was great and of course the shells were amazing as usual. Much clearer water than down in Sanibel. Also way less people than on Sanibel beaches and even less than Sunset Captiva. We were thinking about booking the upper condo next year (6B) but the beach gear was so good I’ll probably just rebook 6A. Overall a great property and definitely plan to stay next year.
