Built in 2004, our spacious 1460 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo at the Waikoloa Colony Villas is located within the prestigious Waikoloa Beach Resort on the world famous Kohala Coast (or 'Gold Coast') of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our villa is furnished in a casual tropical theme and is ideally located just steps away from one of the two Colony pools.

This premier exclusive resort community is renowned for its beautiful beaches, upscale amenities, great shopping, restaurants, golf and nearby activities. The private, gated complex of Waikoloa Colony Villas is located 18 miles north of the Kona Airport on 22 lush, beautifully landscaped tropical acres and is right next to the 10th fairway of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. You can also play tennis, work out in the air-conditioned fitness center or relax at the tropical pools. The villas were designed to enhance the convenience of condo style with the individuality and privacy of a home with no one above or below. With only six side-by-side units per building it is the least densely populated complex in the area. The quiet tropical ambiance with its central location brings many guests back every year.

Our south-facing back yard walks out onto a scenic, open grassy area with golf course and mountain views complemented by swaying palm trees. With 17' soaring vaulted ceilings, the villa is spacious and boasts two furnished private lanais. The floor plan is the larger and most desirable of the 2-bedroom models, offering spacious accommodations and total privacy. As you walk in on the main floor, you are greeted with soaring, vaulted ceilings and expansive views of the mountains from the floor to ceiling windows.

Our villa, with its calming tropical ambiance, has the privacy and feel of an upscale individual home with slab granite counters, air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect in a luxury town home. We have taken great care to provide superb accommodations and features for our guests. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, glassware, barware, utensils, serving dishes, spices, a variety of small appliances and everything you would expect in a cook's kitchen.

The dining room opens onto a large tropical furnished lanai for enjoying a leisurely cup of Kona coffee, tasty meals or an afternoon cocktail.

Both bedrooms are upstairs: the master has a King-sized bed and the second bedroom, twin beds. Each bedroom has it own bathroom and there is a 1/2 bath downstairs. Off the Master a large private lanai overlooks the golf course and mountains…a perfect place to relax on one of the chaise lounges and soak in the view.

Our unit is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or for families wanting a sun-filled holiday adventure. We've equipped the condo with beach chairs, coolers and beach towels for your explorations at the many nearby world-class beaches. Boogie boards, snorkeling gear, sand toys and tennis rackets are all here for your use! The Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace, with exceptional restaurants, grocery store and quality shopping, are within walking distance. The location of the Waikoloa Colony Villas is a convenient central point for exploring the many activities and sites the Big Island has to offer.

At Waikoloa Beach Resort, the crescent-shaped A-Bay offers a pristine sandy beach with sports activities and rentals, shoreline paths, a giant turtle refuge and ancient royal fishponds, all just 5 minutes away. Just a few minutes drive north brings you to the world famous Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani Beach, and several others to explore. Hapuna State Park, with its crystal clear blue water and fine sand, is great for boogie boarding.

We have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for many years but fell in love with the Big Island. It's black lava rock and different ecosystems are so interesting, magnificent and enticing. We have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for many years but just visited the Big Island for the first time in 2014. We fell in love immediately with the black lava rock, the pristine beaches, the different ecosystems, and the trust-worthy constant warm sunny weather! The Kohala coast with its sunny beaches, beautiful golf courses and swaying palm trees is where we want to spend our vacation time. We were happy to purchase such a well-maintained beautiful town home and we plan to look after our home-away-from-home with care and provide the best vacation accommodation possible for our guests!

We wanted a quality-built home, surrounded by lush grounds and beautiful tropical pools in a quiet and sparsely populated area. We appreciate the convenient central location for exploring the Big Island. Waikoloa Beach Resort has much to offer and one of the best beaches. We love the feeling we are in a house with soaring ceilings rather than an apartment with neighbors above and below. Our favorite spots are both the upper and lower lanais – we thoroughly enjoy relaxing and enjoying the view outside on our lanais!

• The most popular and larger floor plan of the 2 bedroom villas within the complex and tucked away in a private, quiet, yet convenient setting. We are off the main road into the complex and across from the pool. We are a short walk to the other pool, fitness facility and walking paths. Enjoy our fully equipped condo including beach chairs & towels, coolers, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. Enjoy the quiet tropical surroundings from this outstanding location. Our condo has both an upper lanai with loungers and a lower lanai with dining table. Just sit back and enjoy the expansive views of flowering trees, palms, expansive lava fields, golf course and stunning mountains.

We love Waikoloa !

We love staying in the Waikola area. This is our 2nd stay in this condo. We love the view. The upper Lani has lounge chairs that we enjoyed every night. Its equipped with lots of beach stuff. Tracy, the owner is very easy to work with. It was 15 days of heaven and we'll be back in the spring.

Nice home away from home

Great place to stay- well equipped condo with towels and beach gear (boogie boards which we used at Hanupa beach- lots of big waves toward early evening), beach chairs, snorkeling stuff, sand toys, which we used a lot. Washer/dryer in unit with soap and dryer sheets provided which was awesome. Kitchen well equipped with cooking stuff- plastic wrap- seasonings. Place was quiet- had little kids in condos next to us and didn't seem to hear them too much. Cable and wi-FI were also great as we had some rainy evenings during our stay. We love the location- out of Kona but close enough that the drive isn't bad. Also loved being closer to some of the beaches we visited. Only 2 things that we found were missing for our needs and that was a pitcher to make lemonade in and something to hang up wet clothes outside. We used chairs outside but found they stained the clothes. Those are pretty small things though and overall it suited our family's needs really well.

We are also happy we were able to accommodate your late checkout request. Unfortunately regarding your concern of nothing to hang up wet clothes outside, we as owners are bound by the Waikoloa Colony Villas House Rules which are also included in the information binder inside the condo. These rules state: "No Hanging of Items....Nothing shall be hung from the ceiling or on the walls of the lanai, or over the lanai railings. Garments, towels, rugs or other objects shall not be hung..." This means we cannot place anything or attach anything to the walls of the lanai such as a clothesline but instead we use the full-sized dryer within the condo. We hope this explains any concern over no specific clothes-hanging apparatus.

Great stay, perfect for us.

We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids aged 5 and 7 and stayed 5 nights at Tracy's property during Thanksgiving holidays. We picked this property based on reviews, location, space, etc, and glad with our decision. Very well maintained property, quiet yet convenient location within complex and waikoloa area. Communication with Tracy has been excellent throughout the booking till check-out process. I would stay here again in future and recommend Tracy's property to friends.

Well maintained, clean, spacious, well-equipped!

Condo is roomy and clean with nice furniture and a lovely patio. The pool is right outside the front door. Wifi worked well. Kitchen is quite well stocked. We were so happy with the beach gear (super important!) There were 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs (my favorite) and 2 coolers. There was snorkel gear that looked decent but we didn't use it because we brought our own. No kids gear but a few sand toys. The pullout couch was decent for a hide-a-bed. We thought this place was great!

Great stay in Waikoloa!

We enjoyed our stay very much in this villa. Very clean, lots of room. The location was great. We had everything we needed in the villa. Air conditioner worked good and we had lots of hot water. Took advantage of the beach toys & cooler that were in the garage. We were really close to pool. Master bedroom deck has a beautiful view of the mountain! We would recommend this unit!

Beautiful condo, all the amenities we needed were all right in the condo. Pictures are true, loved it, very spacious, clean and would definitely stay again. Tracy was very nice to work with on such a short time . Love it!

Just outside your door there are miles of walking/running and biking opportunities as well as a beautiful coastline trail. You can walk to the Hilton and Marriott resorts, shopping and restaurants. Walk the historic Kings' Trail and see ancient petroglyphs just adjacent to our complex; there are walking paths to the beach from our door; and the Big Island's best beaches are nearby. Kayak, bicycle, stand-up paddling, and scooter rentals are available. This perfect central location for exploring all the Big Island sites sits in a quiet, peaceful and tropical setting that is close to all amenities.
