The Aspen/Snowmass area is 14 miles east and Old Town Basalt/Willits are 4 miles west from the intersection of HWY 82. Carbondale is about 12 miles west and Glenwood Springs another 20 miles. There is year round shopping, dining, recreation, historical sites, tours and events in Aspen, Snowmass Village, Old Town Basalt, Willits, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. An expansive City Market and the new Whole Foods are at Willits. The RFTA buses stop at the HWY 82 intersection and travel both east and west.
Crossing the intersection of HWY 82 and continuing on Snowmass Creek Rd, takes one through Old Snowmass, up to Shield O Mesa and to back roads to Snowmass Village. From the home and continuing East on Lower River Rd., Woody Creek and the Woody Creek Tavern are 6 miles away.
