This very nice oceanfront condominium, in one of the Grand Strand's best condominium complexes, has an outstanding view of the North Myrtle Beach coastline from the 27 foot oceanfront balcony with nice balcony furniture to enjoy nature's beauty. Let the ocean waves relaxing sound put you in a good mood.

Come and visit our condo, owned by a 68 year vacationer of the Grand Strand area and we still visit multiple times per year. We know the area very well and we'd be glad to help you in any way we can.

The complex features a 110 foot oceanfront pool, a 200' lazy river, a heated indoor pool, a kids pool, 2 large oceanfront jetted hot tubs and a nicely equipped exercise fitness room available to 16 and older. Crescent Shores has a nice wide sandy beach location with beach umbrellas and chairs available for rent right in front of the complex from late May to mid-September {Beach Services - (843) 280-5684}. Parasail and Banana boat rides are next door on the ocean side of Molly Darcy's Restaurant; rides by Myrtle Beach Watersports.

We have also played all of the golf courses at the Golf Capital of the World and the family has tested most of the amusements. Crescent Shores has convenient access from Highway 17 to Ocean Boulevard via 17th Avenue S. It's located across the street from a nice beachwear store and Cabana Mart convenience store; Molly Darcy's Oceanfront Grill is next door. We're nearby Barefoot Landing, Alabama Theater, House of the Blues, Tanger Outlets, Myrtle Beach Mall, Bass Pro Shops, Calabash, Little River, Restaurant Row, Cherry Grove Pier, OD Pavilion, Sun Cruz Casinos and a short drive to Broadway at the Beach, WonderWorks, Myrtle Waves Waterpark, NASCAR Speed Park, Myrtle Beach Pelican baseball, Carolina Opry, Palace Theater, Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Ripley's Aquarium, IMAX, Family Kingdom, Brookgreen Gardens, Battleship NC, Legends In Concert, Coastal Grand Mall, Market Commons, Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach Airport, Historic Wilmington, Myrtle Beach Speedway and other Grand Strand vacation destinations.

Our condominium features one king bed, four queen beds and three full baths. The master bath has a very large easy access separate shower and whirlpool garden tub. All bedrooms feature plenty of closet and dresser space and each has a TV, VCR, and DVD player. The living room features a 56' high definition TV, BluRay/DVD player and a stereo with cassette, MP3 and CD player. The bedrooms are carpeted and all other living space has beautiful large tile floors. The kitchen is very well appointed and has plenty of storage space and utensils. The condo has free WIFI service.

This unit (1608 South Tower) is located near the three large, quick elevators (with generator power back-up) and it has a great view of the area from the wide (street side) entry hallway. An exterior closet is available for beach supplies. The master bedroom and the living room both have sliding doors to the 27 foot oceanfront balcony with 6 chairs and a table.

We accept families and responsible adults only and allow NO PETS and NO SMOKING in our condominium or balcony. NO MOTORCYCLES, ATVs or TRAILERS are allowed on the Crescent Shores premises. We will send you a detailed Policy Sheet and prime months are weekly rentals only; Saturday to Saturday. Rental linens are included. Rented linens must stay in the condo; bring or buy beach and pool towels. We can also help you with rentals of cribs, high chairs, wheelchairs, beach umbrellas and beach chairs, coolers, bikes and more, with some good companies that deliver and pick-up. We have a great caretaker company that looks after the condo and our guests if they need something; their office is 4 blocks away.

All rates are subject to SC, NMB and Horry County taxes; 12% combined. All weekly rates include bed and bath linens with made beds and post stay cleaning. Check our calendar for availability. About Chris Alford

We're from the small community of Pilot, NC. We both went to Bunn High School, I went to Wake Forest University on a partial baseball scholarship and my wife went to East Carolina University. As a young boy that was part of a rural farm family, my first baseball was a corn cob and my bat was a tobacco stick. I started in center-field for Campbell JC and Wake Forest with borrowed cleats and glove and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1950. I was in the US Army at Fort Jackson, SC during the Korean War and I played some professional baseball in Nova Scotia, Canada and Edenton, NC. We are both retired public school teachers. I was a US history teacher, a baseball and basketball coach and a principal for most of my career. My wife taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade and taught 3rd most of her career. We both taught Sunday school at our local church for 30+ years. I've been a Deacon, choir member and church moderator for around 63 years. I retired in 1985 and then sold real estate for 18 years. My wife retired in 1991; she took off 7 years while our children were young.

I've been a member of Lions Club International since 1967 and a charter member and 3 time president of our local club. I won the International Melvin Jones Fellow Award for Humanitarian Services in 1991. I also served on the local school board for 8 years after retiring. We support our local public school and attend many sporting events there.

Why Chris Alford chose North Myrtle Beach

We've always loved the Crescent Shores location and we used to talk about that location when the old Rock'n K Motel was there. We first visited the Grand Strand in 1947 and honeymooned there in 1954. We sometimes rented from Vanna White's mom and dad when they had a real estate company next to where the Crescent Shores parking deck is now. We've visited and stayed in 100+ Grand Strand condos, houses and motels over the years and we still visit new ones today to see what they offer. We migrated mostly to North Myrtle Beach in the early 1970's.

When we chose Crescent Shores, we did it after an extensive search and we are happy with our choice. Our condo represents the sale of a family farm and a like-kind tax exchange; it does not represent public school teacher retirement!

What makes this condo unique

We love the balcony view and sitting on it to watch nature and the lovely Atlantic. The sound of the ocean waves are quite tranquil. I'm a avid golfer and my wife enjoys riding the carts and looking at the courses. What better place to do it than the Golf Capital of the World? We've played them all so far and some many times; we're just waiting for the next one to open. It was a great place to visit as a young family in the 60's and it's a great place for granddad and grandmother visit today; especially when the grandchildren visit with us. Crescent Shores works very well for us and our condo has all the comforts and features of home and more. We personally take care of it to suit us and our renters.

This is more than an excellent condo - it is a great condo. It is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is evident that the owners take pride in this condo and want those renting it to be extremely satisfied. The property is in an excellent location. It is in a quiet and peaceful location yet it is close to shopping, entertainment and restaurants. I have stayed at his condo for a week in each of the last two years and will be there again this year and hopefully many years to come. In the last two years there has been no deterioration in the unit as if often the case. I would recommend this unit to a friend due to the quality and excellent customer service - any question is promptly answered via telephone or e mail. You will enjoy staying at this condo.

Great Spring Vacation with Grandchildren

This was everything advertised. A beautiful condo with plenty of room. The sunrises and sunsets were fantastic with a great view of the beach. Weather was perfect between 65-70 degrees and blue sky everyday. Beach was not crowded and water a bit cool but didn't slow my granddaughters down. The owners were a pleasure to work with and we would love to come back. Highly recommended.

Our 2016 Family Vacation

Our family (5 adults and a 2-1/2 year old) enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable and spacious condo, with a kitchen that had everything you needed (something you don't always find)! We really liked the location of this condo in Crescent Shores (very close to public park with tennis courts, as well as several nice golf courses) and the easy access to the wonderful beach. This was our first time renting via VRBO; we found the overall process worked great, in large part due to Chris' prompt responsiveness to our questions and genuine interest in being helpful. Thanks Chris for sharing your great condo with us!

Easter Vacation 2015

Our family of four (Mom, Dad, two school-aged sons) stayed at the unit the week before Easter, 2015. We found the accomodations to be clean and roomy with three spacious bedrooms, kitchen, dining, and large balcony. The oceanfront views were spectacular, even at night we could see lights from other hotels up and down the beach for several miles. The master bedroom had a walk-in closet, which made my wife happy, and a jacuzzi in the bathroom, which made me happy. Plenty of parking, especially in the garage across the street, never a problem. A storage room just outside the door to the condominium was handy, a nice place to store our sandy beach belongings. The large-sreen HDTV in the living area was very nice as we relaxed in the evening. We enjoyed the two outdoor jacuzzi's and heated indoor pool, the outdoor pool looked nice but too cold to swim in during our late March/early April stay. We booked the unit through VRBO and the owners were extremely accomodating, and I will stress extremely. We sometimes judge our accomodations on whether or not, if given the opportunity, we would stay there again. Would we stay at the unit again if given the oppprtunity ? Yes, absolutely !

Two years of great memories

We have enjoyed two winters in this excellent unit that is well stocked and everything works. The full ocean view is a delight to wake up with and provides interest throughout the day. The location is central to so much we want to do; we aren't as close to so many amenities when we're home.

We're located in the Crescent Section of North Myrtle Beach, a city formed by 4 different beaches in 1968; sister city to Myrtle Beach, 4-5 miles to the south. Most people visit the Grand Strand and don't know there are 2 different cities. NMB is family friendly and home of Barefoot Landing, Alabama Theater and House of the Blues and much more. The section between the 2 cities is mostly referred to as Restaurant Row and inc. Myrtle Beach Mall and Bass Pro Shops (.5 mi. south of NMB) and Tanger Outlets (1 mile south of NMB). NMB is home to the Shag (dance), great beach music and hometown of Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White.

We get name, address and 2 phone numbers (at least 1 being cell) for the Rental Agreement and email it to guest along with the Policy Pages for review and printing. A signed and filled out RA is due with first payment. RA includes number of guests and age demographics. The first payment when more than 6 months away is $100; ~35% is due 6 months out or when scheduled if less than 6 months away and the remainder inc. a $200 refundable Security Deposit is due 40 days out from the stay. Rentals are to families or adults only 25 years old or older. NO PETS, NO SMOKING, NO MOTORCYCLES, ATVs or TRAILERS. We prefer checks (personal or certified) at cost but we can do PayPal or Major Credit Cards at 4% interest. **(Jan. 1 - April 1- 90 night stay 2018 available for $4350; add 30 nights in Dec. for $1375)**.
