Huge Luxe Williamstown Updated Victorian, All Ensuite Baths, Walk to Spring St!

Feel at home in Williamstown in this Williams College legend! After housing generations of Williams students, Jake House has been lovingly restored to combine luxury, convenience and tradition. A 3-story Victorian located on the Williams College campus (we do have student neighbors on 3 sides during the academic year), in view of Spring Street, and a leisurely stroll to Weston Field, the Clark, the Taconic Golf Club, the Williamstown Theatre Festival and Commencement & Reunion festivities. MASS MoCA and Jiminy Peak are both a short drive away.

Five bedrooms (4 queens, 1 king), each with en suite bath. Onota on the first floor is ideal for anyone with mobility issues and has a walk-in shower. On the second floor we have Blue Benn, Pine Cobble and Stone Hill (master bedroom w/king bed and a claw-footed tub with separate shower). Greylock is the entire third floor, a carpeted oversized loft ideal for a slumber party. Gourmet kitchen, large dining table for 10+, spacious living room, purple felted pool table, den with TV & wood fireplace, wifi, large front porch with swing, back deck, fully-fenced in back yard, driveway parking for up to 5 cars. Central AC. Perfect for groups and families, and pet-friendly (for a fee). Ideal for hosting private gatherings/celebrations (with permission and possibly additional fee).

We do all we can to provide for a comfortable stay with more than just the basic necessities provided. And Venetia is the most responsive and helpful property manager who will streamline your stay, from initial reservation to departure. We hope you will create special memories at Jake!

Giant home perfect for couples and families

The home was exactly as reflected in the listing. It's very large and located right by the Williams campus and Spring Street. Location was perfect for walking into town and to Taconic. The house manager was easily accessible and checking in and out was flawless. The yard and deck were perfect for entertaining both the adults and the one toddler in our group. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great spot for a family reunion. 5 very comfortable bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Very well equipped kitchen. Downtown Williamstown 1 block away. Lovely front porch that is sheltered from the rain. Didn’t even use the wonderful back deck with picnic table and grill. Will continue to return here!

We are a Williams alumni couple with two young daughters. Jake House (& Williamstown) is our favorite place to escape to when we have the chance, but having moved down to DC two years after buying the house, and contending with the academic calendar, those chances have become fewer and farther between. It seemed to be such a shame to leave Jake vacant while we were away that we decided to open up our home and share it with other families and travelers to Williamstown.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Jake House when we first saw it in its renovated glory. Williams alums of a certain era through the mid-90s will know that Jake has a rollicking past and it always comes alive when it is occupied. It is our much beloved home away from home.
