About the host
Hosted by Amy Zaiss
Hi I'm Amy. I'm so glad you are considering staying at our vacation home. First about us, we have been married for 16 years and have two terrific kiddos. Our family loves to travel and we love to spend time at our house on top of the hill. We fell in love with South Dakota (Lead) and knew we would one day own a quaint old house - we got lucky finding our house - it was in the middle of a complete remodel and had only drywall up when we purchased it - from the texture to the furniture, we were able to make it ours. We live in Colorado on a small farm that keeps us busy along with "real" work and growing kid activities.
Why they chose this property
Easy access to Black Hills Trail System and Mickelson Bike Trail. Enjoy a property that anticipates your needs with all the character of a mountain house right in the City. Relax and unwind in this beautiful, well maintained, family home in a great location. Just minutes by car to the Historic Downtown Deadwood, you can also get to Terry Peak Ski Resort in under 15 minutes. A peaceful 45 minute drive down 385 through the heart of the Black Hills will take you to Mount Rushmore and many more wonderful site seeing opportunities.
What makes this property unique

Tucked into the steep folds of the Black Hills of South Dakota, Lead is a place where you can escape from the world, an off-the-beaten path playground where one can enjoy the best outdoors fun… without the crowds.
The majority of the homes were built in the 1800's and early 1900's and the charm of the town is captivating.
