Separate entrance from private garden patio & courtyard--located on owner occupied property. A real BARGAIN with NO ADDITIONAL FEES for cleaning or security deposits. Large driveway with your own designated space, room for your boat, bikes or kayaks. Queen bed with quality bedding and spacious bath, large tiled interior shower with multiple shower heads, or shower under the stars in an additional enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower on your own patio space - Close to shopping, cafes, movies -lots of restaurants nearby or grill your supper -propane grill/patio table and comfortable seating for outdoor meals or morning coffee with a garden view-kitchenette with mw/fridge/coffee maker/toaster, etc. Additional access to laundry facilities available on request. A little piece of heaven.

We just absolutely loved our stay at the Heron's Nest. Owner was just wonderful and very helpful. The place itself was perfect and became a home away from home. Perfect location to the beach and downtown. Can't wait to stay here again!

Perfect Oasis

Quiet and Comfortable

This is in a quiet neighborhood that is conveniently located between the beach and downtown. It has the convenience and comfort of a hotel (similar in size), but is more private and quiet than a hotel. Would probably stay here again -- well cared for and clean. Has everything you need for a long weekend stay.

We had a feeling this place was going to be great, and it was! The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of ever detail! From Keurig pods, to boogie boards, beach towels and beach chairs, we had everything we needed. Some of the highlights were the beautiful bathroom, outdoor shower and private patio. This was definitely MUCH better than a hotel stay and perfect for our trip to Wilmington to move our son into UNCW. Highly recommend!

Extraordinary experience! Everything about this place was thoughtful, showing the hosts love for detail. The living space was immaculately clean and well decorated. Bed and linens were very comfortable and luxurious. Bob greeted us up on arrival and walked us through the living space to show us how the door locks worked, etc. We will definitely stay here again.

Great weekend getaway

This was our second time staying at the Heron’s nest, and it is still one of our favorite places to stay. The prices are great, the location is close to downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville beach, and the space is so peaceful and clean. I would recommend this property to anyone, and I plan on coming back in the future.

Lovely private space for weekend getaway!

The property is as advertised with great hosts! Bob greeted us as we arrived and showed us around the property. Apartment is very close to the beach and they provide all the small things you might need to have a fun trip. My friend and I loved our stay!

Great getaway location

Such a lovely location to experience the best of Wilmington. Close to the beach and great access to sites around downtown Wilmington. Bob and Meroe have all the details covered. Such a wonderful hosts, and they for any need will be looking forward to getting away to this little spot again soon.

Location was awesome, in the middle of everything, but in a neighborhood so the noise and traffic of hotels and highways was non -existential. Very safe place to stay and the comforts of home. We will be booking this one in the future.

Fabulous getaway near Wrightsville Beach

This is a lovely and comfortable apartment. The hosts met us when we arrived and introduced us to the accommodations. They had waters and coffee/creamer for our use. The location is so convenient to the beach and restaurants. We will 100% return!

Perfect for a long weekend get-away!

We loved our stay at this VRBO! It was spotless and stocked with water bottles, organic Half-and-half and Keurig coffee, which made for a pleasant arrival. It is located in a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything. We also enjoyed the beautiful courtyard. Bob, our host, was friendly and helpful in suggesting recommended places. We spent the weekend visiting our two kids in college. This place was perfect for my husband and I. The location is great, nice neighborhood and close to the college and restaurants. Everything we needed was provided and communication was exceptional. We will stay here again.

Through these experiences we know all the little details that make a great vacation memorable. We want to be sure you have a wonderful stay at Heron's Nest. As active retirees we love our home here in Wilmington, our vibrant historical downtown area and beautiful Wrightsville Beach.

Why they chose this property

We love the casual coastal vibe of Wilmington and the beautiful old historic downtown. We wanted a home that was close enough to the white sand and turquoise waters of Wrightsville beach so we could go for a beach walk after supper. We loved the big back yard with an old live oak ---and this great house had the potential to have room for our growing crop of visiting grandchildren and friends.

What makes this property unique

We are hoping to offer a relaxing environment where you have all the privacy you want to rest and rejuvenate. You will find peace and quiet, in a location just minutes away from all the highlights of our area. We are here to help as needed, your privacy and comfort is our first goal.
