Beautiful self contained self catering apartment in recently restored old Tuscan farmhouse. The rooms all have traditional beamed and tiled rooves. Garden and Swimming Pool for Guest Use, and car parking on the premises.
Stonehouse is an ideal base for visiting the historic cities of Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena. For more relaxing days, the beaches of Viareggio and Marina di Vecchiano are half an hour's drive away - or you can take a bike and explore the Bientina Marsh or the Pisan Hills.
The Apuan Alps, with their fine scenery and historic marble quarries are also close at hand, as are the more gentle Appenines.
The area is ideal for a blend of culture and activity, and the owners who live on site can help you to make the most of your holiday.

A beautiful oasis!

We spent several evenings at this quaint farm in Tuscany. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy!! The farm was in the perfect location for our day trips throughout the area. David even helped us pay our local parking ticket. The perfect hosts!

Lovely house near Lucca

We stayed with our two daughters (4yr and 1yr) at Paola and David's place and had a lovely time. The swimming pool and air conditioning were very welcome as we stayed in probably the hottest week of the year. The apartment is spacious but cozy and the garden is lovely. Recommended!

Just what we hoped for!

Loved our stay at this beautiful old stone house. The owners live on site and were so helpful with directions, suggestions for shopping, etc. The grounds are gorgeous! Food and wine, and homemade jam, were provided for our first night which was appreciated. Aside from the couches needing replacing, the entire apartment was spacious and delightful. It had lovely little decorative touches to make it homey. The beds were comfortable and we had two full bathrooms for the four of us (2 retired couples). The house is in the country but only minutes from a grocery store and other shops. We made dinner most evenings after touring all day. The location, near the walled city of Lucca, it is central to so many towns - we spent a week exploring Tuscany (including Pisa, Siena, Cinque Terre) and absolutely loved it. The roads were narrow and curvy but quite safe if driven appropriately. Would highly recommend it.

Quaint farmhouse - great location!

We spent three evenings at the Old Stone Farmhouse this past week. We loved the location and found it to be near many of the places we wanted to visit such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We liked that it was tucked out of the way an truly in the country. The inside of the rental was plenty large for all 5 of us (2 parents and 3 adult children). We enjoyed that it had wi-fi as well. The only drawback was that it was cool in the evenings and we were actually cold in the house. We didn't know how to work anything and we got in too late each night to want to bother Paula or David. So just a heads up on that if you are from America.

Quiet, clean, spacious, and friendly. Definitely a 5 star accommodation.

We were very glad to have found this place. Paola and David were wonderful hosts and very helpful, as this was our first time visiting Italy. We were greeted with a delicious fruit torte and bottle of wine upon arriving. We drove to many of the places they recommend and were not disappointed. I was given a bottle of wine from a local winery from Paola for a birthday present. How thoughtful! We highly recommend the Stonehouse for a very relaxing and quiet stay. Why they chose this property

We love to travel and we'd like to meet at Stonehouse the people that we couldn't meet away.
This house was the property of Agostino, the old farmer who lived here a long time ago, with his animals and his vegetable garden. We renovated this building to preserve the character of a farm house.
Our guests say: 'home away from home'. This is our goal.

What makes this property unique

When we were looking for a farm house, we saw this property and we thought: 'this is it!'.
We saw the mountains around, the churches on the hills, and the sunflowers. The colours around helped us to decide.
