Great Weekend Getaway
We had an amazing time during our stay. We felt far enough away from the town but still close enough to enjoy Fish Creek and the surrounding small towns. The house was beautiful! We had a fire and cooked dinner in the beautiful kitchen every night. The property was gorgeous and we saw deer everyday. We had snow fall everyday and that made the atmosphere even better. I was even able to enjoy a morning cup of coffee all bundled up on the back patio to start my day off in a really relaxing way. We are already planning our next trip! The owners checked in on us via email which was very nice and we knew if we needed anything all we had to do was ask.
Hi Beth, Thanks so much for your terrific review! It makes us very happy when people enjoy the cabin. We wonder if, besides the deer, you saw any wild turkeys. They tend to be about this part of the season. We certainly hope you'll return. You were wonderful guests.

Quiet, comfortable and cozy
We spent a long weekend here in the late fall with our teenage daughters. The cabin felt secluded but it was still close to all of the things we like to do when we’re in Door County. It was a chilly rainy weekend so we especially enjoyed cozy family evenings by the fireplace. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well maintained with plenty of charm. Everyone ended up using the snazzy triple shower head/rain/steam shower on the first floor whenever they showered because it was so nice. As others noted, there is a lot of iron in the water (we have a well at our house and we have trouble with that sometimes too) so the girls preferred to drink bottled water while we were there but it was otherwise fine for bathing and toothbrushing. It really wasn’t a problem. The hosts made sure we knew everything necessary for our stay, and were prompt to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others!
Best. Weekend. Ever.
This house is amazing. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need. We lit a fire each night and enjoyed the ambiance of being off the beaten path. We would definitely stay again. The kids loved the “secret” bunk bed room. The steam shower was also a real treat. There are many windows throughout the house which give you a great view of the trees which was especially nice with the fall colors.
Hi Megan, We're so happy you had a great time! We built that secret room for my son, who is now 13, so we're glad some new young ones can enjoy it. Please come back in the future. You were terrific guests!

Home/cabin nice but not amenities! Great setting, community, and nice location!
The amenities offered were not accommodating and were more work than worth! The setting, location and home/cabin were very nice. Took too much of our vacation time was spent to get fireplace and TV to work. It was cold at Fall Fest and would have been nice to use the fireplace, when we got back in for the evening. Having been offered the washer and dryer for doing laundry, but no detergent to do any. Had to buy detergent to wash " the home/cabins towels" to have enough for 4 days 3 nights.
We would like to start by thanking you for the lovely notes you and your guest left at the cabin. We were happy to hear you had a wonderful stay and hoped to return in the future; then were a little confused and very sorry to hear that your feelings had changed shortly thereafter. Allow us to address your concerns:
The amenities we provide and do not provide are clearly stated on the welcome sheet we sent prior to your visit. Laundry detergent is something we do not provide and that has never been a problem with our guests, but we take your suggestion to heart. Regarding towels, we had furnished six sets (bath, hand and wash — 18 total) for your group of two. We’d assumed that would enough, but understand it may not have been. In any case, we want all our guests to know that if they require more towels, we’re happy to send some over.
Our fireplace was built in 2011 and is of the standard variety. Our caretaker, who stopped by to help you during your visit, saw that the problem was you had the flue closed. We will be sure to post a notice warning guests to open the chimney flue before they light a fire. Thanks for alerting us to this.
And finally, yes, the TV satellite DISH did go out, which happens sometimes in the Wisconsin north woods. We’re glad our caretaker was there to help you restore it, but saddened it took half an hour away from your vacation.
Thanks again for your comments. Best of luck with your future travels.

Cozy little cabin in the heart of Door County. Excellent property and an enjoyable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is beautifully decorated with lots of clever touches of Door County. It’s within walking distance of both the bay and The Peninsula Players Theatre: both a must see. Eric and Susan are helpful hosts and we highly recommend this cozy cabin in the heart of Door County!
Thanks so much, Kathleen! It sounds like you got a chance to catch a play at the Players, and maybe experience the awesome bonfire they have going on the the shore every night. That's one of our favorite things to do in DC. Safe travels. Come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay during our visit to Door County. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a place to stay. A place away from the bustle of Fish Creek, etc. After a day of hiking and touring, we could come back and enjoy nature. We saw a porcupine, deer, rabbits, and birds.
A porcupine! What luck. Those guys are pretty shy. Thanks, Barbara. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay. Fall is our favorite season. Great for hiking. We hope you had a chance to use the fire. Come back and visit again sometime!
