The other unit is a small one bedroom apartment on the left side of the home.

The front room has a sofa which converts to a comfortable twin size, creating a third bed. An additional queen air mattress can be set up to accommodate children or other guest(s) in one of the front rooms.

About Ro

I'm a historic preservationist and designer and live in the Lower Garden District with my young family. I love to travel for pleasure but also spent over a decade traveling domestically and internationally for a corporate job. As such, I understand a traveler's expectations for comfort and amenities but believe that true luxury travel is anticipating a guest's needs before they do. In my home, you'll find unexpected delights and touches that really add to one's travel experience.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Ro and Seth were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcomed. The shotgun was charming, updated, very spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood was in a central location, a block off of Magazine, quiet and very convenient to the French Quarter and to the Garden District. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful historic house

  • 5 of 5

We attended a conference at the nearby convention center. This house was wonderful. AC worked great, kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable, well furnished. Most importantly, communication with the owner (Ro) was fantastic. The only reservation was that we felt unsafe walking home from the convention center at night, as you have to pass through a freeway corridor with several homeless people. We probably paid an extra $60 on Uber/Lyft for the week because of this. Would definitely stay again!

Wow... just wow!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary and wanted to find a special place to stay. We own a restaurant in Fort Worth and wanted to be close to great coffee shops and restaurants!

The pictures of this home were by far some of the best in New Orleans, so we decided to book hoping that the place would somehow live up to the pictures online. I am here to say, Ro's place was even nicer in person!!! We were floored and took videos and pictures for at least 30 minutes.

The house was spotless and Ro was a super host. We walked to most areas and Ubered to the French Quarter.

If this house is available and you want to feel like you're staying in a home that looks like it's straight out of a magazine, this is the place for you.

Clean, wonderfully appointed, spot in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a four evening stay at this wonderful home and we couldn't have been happier. A big "thank you" to Ro and Seth, for their hospitality and attentiveness. Any concerns or questions we had were quickly answered. The home itself is well appointed, very comfortable and full of all the little details that make for a fantastic stay. The location is excellent as well - close to pretty much everywhere we wanted to be, including some great spots to grab a bite, or a drink. We will definitely be back!

Excellent stay, great location and convenient parking

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and furnished well with comfortable and cool furniture. We were pleasantly surprised that it was quiet too. The bedrooms are good sized and the beds, queens, very comfortable. One bedroom is smaller and bathroom located across the hall and the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Showers were strong and had plenty of hot water. Bathrooms had enough space to put your stuff too.

The back patio was a nice place to hang out and relax. You have to go through the master bedroom to get to the patio (or go outside the house and use the walk between) but that wasn't an issue. The kitchen was perfect, not too big but well stocked with utensils and pots/pans if you were looking to cook. But this being New Orleans we didn't do much in the kitchen except have coffee and eat breakfast stuff. Many different types of coffee makers were present and the refrigerator was large-if you have leftovers.

The air conditioning worked well and easily (Nest thermostats). There is a tv in the main living area along with a Bose radio tuned to WWOZ-our favorite radio station. Wifi was fine even in the back patio area. It was helpful to have a washer and dryer and dishwasher to use too.

Parking was very easy, on street or across the street in the large parking lot. The neighborhood is quite cool and has some interesting shops, bars and restaurants. A quick walk gets you to Magazine street.

We would definitely recommend the place without hesitation. We usually stay in the quarter and this was a welcome change. I don't think you will be disappointed booking this home.

Two couples stayed over 4 days to explore NOLA. The house was in a great location just a few short blocks from a trolley stop on St. Charles. Lovely, comfortable accommodations, can’t wait to return!
