Great property, wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent a week here and were not let down in any way. The cabin itself lived up to expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were all in good condition. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Pots and pans have seen better days, but more than serviceable. It's in a beautiful, fairly secluded spot a good ways up the mountain and the views are incredible. The owner was very accommodating. We were snowed into the cabin for a couple days and thought we might have to stay past our arranged checkout and he could not have been more understanding, and in fact encouraged us to stay longer if it wasn't safe to leave.

One warning-- if there is snow or ice on the ground, stay put. The roads are extremely treacherous which we found out the hard way. We received bad advice from a local about the roads being cleared, and we came heart-stoppingly close to sliding off the mountain, and there is not a bit of exaggeration in that statement. I have an all wheel drive vehicle and it didn't make a bit of difference. We were damn lucky to survive that road. It's not often that they get much ice or snow accumulation so it won't likely affect you, but just in case consider yourself warned.

The cabin is great

  • 4 of 5

Disappointed that it wasn't decorated for Christmas.

The shower needs a new shower head and drained slowly

This place was amazing and it wasn’t to far out but just far enough. I will be returning to this cabin next time we go to the mountains!

Very quiet and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

There were 7 of us that came up and stayed for a week at this cabin. It was extremely comfortable and relaxing. We had a week full of new memories and much laughter as we reconnected as a family in this cozy cabin. The views from the back deck were spectacular as the leaves were gorgeous the week we were there.

The owners of this cabin were amazing. In each email conversation we had with them prior to the stay, they were accommodating and friendly. We had a conflict come up a couple of months prior to our stay and I emailed him to see if we could switch weeks. They had the opening and switched us with no questions asked.

We had some phone communication during our stay and Hayden was extremely kind and generous in the conversations.

We definitely enjoyed this cabin and working with these owners. Thank you!
