Quiet, somewhat secluded, plenty to do in the area

  • 5 of 5

Alpine View has a beautiful setting, cozy home-like feeling, and is very quiet. Pool table could be updated and the master bed could be a little softer, but everything else exceeded expectations. I recommend sitting on the back balcony for the beautiful sunsets. We were able to watch some silver foxes, a black bear, and a raccoon right from our balcony. They came right up to the house! The lack of fireplace really bummed me out, i was really planning on making some s'mores with the youngins but the rest of the cabin and setting really made up for that! The hot tub was very relaxing after a long day of venturing to Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, and Gatlinburg. Which, by the way, all 3 areas are within an hour away from the cabin. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is planning to visit the GSM. Didn't want to leave! For it to be almost summer, it was nice and breezy and cool most the time we were there, and the first couple days it rained, but that didn't stop us! Be careful of the groundhogs though, they're everywhere but so cute to watch stuff their little cheeks! This might sound funny, but the moths are beautiful too. I have a family of 6; 4 kids aged 10, 10, 11, and 12, then there is my husband and myself - There was plenty of room for everyone, and then some. Whoever plans to rent this cabin now and in the future will certainly appreciate everything it has to offer. We did! We will be going back soon! Thank you Hayden and Jewell! Oh, and Tammy is a wonderful cleaning lady! --The Hall Family from Augusta, GA

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. We, of course, do have a wood-burning fireplace in the family room. You must have meant that you wished we had an outside fire pit. Alas, outdoor fire pits are not permitted due to fire hazard. But thanks again for the review.

Amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed this cabin and the views it came with. The hot tub and pool table were a blast to just enjoy and feel the getaway of reality. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to stay in the Smokey Mountains! We are from Palmetto Florida and would do this all over again. Don't miss out!
