About the property

Beach House With Access To 1/2 Mi Private Beach On Beautiful Cape Cod Bay.

The Brewster Beach House is located in the lovely Foster Road neighborhood in Brewster and less than a 5 minute walk to a 1/2-mile private association beach on Cape Cod Bay. The house is a 3 bedroom (sleeps 6), 2 bathroom Cape style home. It has an eat-in kitchen, a family room with cable HDTV & broadband WiFi, 2 full bath bathrooms, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 2 other bedrooms each with 2 twin beds. The house is equipped with window air conditioners. Outside, you will find a deck with picnic table for 6, lounge chairs for reading and relaxing, an outdoor shower and a gas grill for cooking the catch of the day.

Cape Cod Bay and the Brewster Flats are only footsteps away with access to the exclusive private association beach. The soft, white, sandy, private ½ mile beach is never crowded. The Bay water is warm and great to swim in at a comfortable 65-80 degrees in the summer. The sand flats are incredible at low tide and extend for almost 2 miles out into the bay. This makes a perfect playground for children and adults alike to explore the tidal pools searching for small fish, shells, and crabs. It is also a great place to go sea clamming.

The property is situated off of historic route 6A which is home to many charming antique stores, local shops, fine and casual dining and of course the Brewster General Store where you can get penny candy for 25 cents. It is also a short bike ride from the house to the Cape Cod Rail trail where you can ride your bike to Wellfleet or Dennis if you're up for it. The Brewster Whitecaps’ (Cape Cod Baseball League) home field is also a short drive or walk across route 6A and is always a great way to see up and coming baseball prospects and perhaps get a signed ball by the next Big Papi.

Along with the main house there is also a quaint 2 room, 1 bathroom cottage (see VRBO listing #919318) on the property that can be rented on it's own or in conjunction with the main house for additional guests. The combined houses offer a unique opportunity for guests to invite grandparents, family or friends to join them on vacation while having a private space of their own.

Visit the Brewster Beach House soon and enjoy all that the town of Brewster and Cape Cod have to offer!

Great family friendly beach house in Brewster

  • 5 of 5

My family has stayed in this property multiple times and will do so again. The property is very clean and well maintained. The images and description of the property accurately describe the property.

The property is very close, 2 minute walk or less, to a beautiful private association beach. The beach is on the bay side of Cape Cod, so it has warm, calm water. The tides recede out a mile twice a day, so there is ample opportunity for both swimming and exploring the tidal flats. It is perfect for our family with two young children.

We find this beach house to be a perfect fit for our family and we look forward to returning again.

Lovely Brewster Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed several lovely days at this family-friendly Brewster Cottage. The cottage was tidy and clean and was as pictured. The nearby private beach is great for young children to explore and swim in a safe spot. The cottage is centrally located making Cape Cod sight-seeing adventures a breeze. Don’t miss the Brewster General Store which has tons of fun stuff to see and buy. Our gracious hosts/owners were very accommodating and responded immediately to any questions and issues during our stay. The setting was relaxing too!

Come here every year and plan to return next year. This is a very convenient house that's well equipped and a short walk to the private association beach. The Rail Trail is not far away if you want to bike. Walking the Brewster Flats at low tide is aunique experience and lots of fun.

Our family of four had a fantastic vacation at this beach house. The house itself is very clean and well maintained. It is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The house is a very short walk to a private beach, with warm, calm water. The low tide pools offer many opportunities for beach walks and exploration. It was perfect for our family with two young children.

Unique Benefits of this Location

The unique location of this property offers free and open access to one of the best private beaches on Cape Cod. Situated on the inside arm of Cape Cod with two tidal changes daily, Brewster Beaches offer clean refreshing to warm water bathing during the summer. The “Brewster flats” as they are called with sand bars extending up to 2 miles into Cape Cod Bay at low tide, provide for recreational enjoyment of digging for quahog and sea clams, kite flying, fishing in tidal pools or just plain refreshing long walk or runs on those hot breezy days of summer..

At high tide beaches offer safe swimming and boating from the shoreline as there is a zero to 5’-9’ tidal change depending on the phases of the moon. Low tide is 6 hours every 12 hours with no water, but amble small tidal pools for small and big children to play safely building sandcastles and catching small minnows. High and Low tide times advance approximately 1 hour daily.

After the beach, Brewster is known as the Sea Captains Town where many Sea Captains located their families in the 1700 -1800’s. Some of these are extremely large structures which today are used as hotel resort locations (Ocean Edge), bed and breakfast guesthouses, restaurants, galleries and merchant shops. The Brewster General Store is always a popular attraction for seasonal visitors with its wide variety of merchandise and especially the candy section for the youngsters. Also available are public golf courses, and public tennis courts. Popular attractions include the Cape Cod Baseball League with almost daily Brewster Whitecap games starting in mid June – mid August, and The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History with many programs daily for children and adults to enjoy.

Popular restaurants in Brewster range from:

- Chillingsworth Fine Dining - Brewster Fish House

- Bramble Inn & Restaurant - Ardeo Mediterranean Grill

- J T’s Seafood Restaurant - Cobies

- Gaupo’s Tortilla Shack - Brewster Coffee Shop

- Laurino’s of Cape Cod - Stone L’oven Pizza Co.

Adjacent towns also offer many other fine restaurants.
