Salvo is a hidden GEM, it is located in the Southern end of the “Tri-Villages” of Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo. It feels like it is in a world of its own! The perfect place for beach days, family times and relaxing with not many distractions!

Come enjoy this super-cute, open concept home and all it has to offer; let it welcome you back year after year, as this adorable home is sure to be your favorite! Your dog is also welcome here! Your dog will enjoy the little fenced in area on the side yard, and you will have peace of mind letting your pup sit on the front and upper deck without being able to get out on the street with the gate to keep them in your view! Deck is new in November 2019. My home is located in the Hatteras Colony neighborhood, which is considered by many as the best on the Island due to the wide streets and two-mile loop of side streets perfect for bike riding, walking or pushing a stroller. The kitchen is complete with all you will need and will inspire your inner chef. Fridge has an ice maker in the freezer, Keurig and drip coffee maker. Lots of natural sunlight flow throughout the open living / dining rooms with a vaulted ceiling making it easy to gather together for those special family times. The first floor has two bedrooms (Queen and 2 twins), and bathroom. The upper level has two queen bedrooms, a bathroom, the stackable laundry is conveniently located on this level, and a loft area with a sofa, tv and games, sure to keep the kids occupied. The large upper deck is accessible from the queen bedroom or the loft area. You can relax on this deck and hear the surf. There is a screened in porch next to the kitchen to enjoy your meals on the picnic table, and relax at the end of your day, or enjoy your morning coffee here. A private area underneath the house is a great gathering place with an oversized picnic table, outdoor shower and fish cleaning station with lights and water. You'll find a charcoal grill in the side yard. House has 4 TV's, DVD player, wifi. Linens can be rented through several local companies that drop them off at the house if you don’t want to bring your own sheets. The keyless entry makes it so easy to check in and out of the house. This is a nonsmoking home, with a Saturday-to-Saturday rental. It's a one-minute short stroll down our street to our beach access, then about a 5-minute walk over the dune to the most beautiful beach in the world! Come experience this peaceful haven and fall in love with this "hidden gem" the little village of Salvo.

The home was clean and fully stocked with everything you needed. Lorri was in contact with us and emailed information about what we would need to bring, local linen suppliers and rental places. My 3, 11, and 17 year old had a blast with the boogie boards. The porch swing was my favorite along with the outdoor shower! The homeowner is fantastic and we can wait to come back!

Wonderful & charming home ideal for extended families. Has all the amenities with two great decks. Close proximity (easy walking distance) to the ocean and the sound (driving distance). Quaint and Quiet and Comfortable

We loved our second stay at the "Welcome Back" house as much as we enjoyed the first time. Robbi is a wonderfully attentive and gracious host, and she responds incredibly promptly to all our queries. The house is well stocked with anything the guests may need, and it's cozy and comfortable. The location is great - close to the beach and convenient restaurants while it's away from any hustle and bustle. Our stay was wonderful.

First Family Trip

This was the first time we were all able to go on a trip together and this was the perfect place for it. We brought our three dogs, who LOVED the deck and we really appreciated the enclosed area for them to have their bathroom breaks. The whole house very thoughtfully laid out, and just perfect for the whole family! We can’t wait to return in the future!

1st time to Outer Banks

Great location! Short walk to amazingly beautiful, uncrowded beach! Short bike ride to sound side beach access, ice cream shop & Dollar General. Cute decor throughout house :) Clean, well-stocked kitchen. Outdoor shower - best idea ever! Can't wait to be welcome-d back to Outer Banks next year!

This home had plenty of space for two families. We liked the 2 floor plan for the kids to play upstairs and watch movies at night and give the parents some adult space. A pull in car port for each family was nice. The kids loved the vacation. It was a less crowded beach then what we usually have in OBX. If we come back down with another family we would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! Perfect sized home, plenty of amenities, everything you need. Screened porch is great. Outdoor shower is wonderful coming off the beach. My daughter really enjoyed the porch swing. Plenty of nearby restaurants, markets and shopping. Sadly, the closest ORV ramp (#23) is closed Apr-Oct (seasonal). In the summer, the nearest ORV ramp (#25) is a few more miles southbound. Highly recommend for small family or group!

Great Trip!

The trip to 'Welcome Back 'was excellent! The house was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The beach is amazing and the kids had a blast spending all day in the warm waters. We spent a few mornings and evenings relaxing on the upper deck enjoying the sea breeze. Lori was an excellent host and the open communication took the fear out of travelling during these times. Lori's personal touches made us feel welcomed and we would definitely be back.

The "Welcome Back" was immaculately clean with everything you need right there. The kitchen is organized and very well stocked, linens provided. Great Beach House

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It was clean, well stocked, and Lorri was always prompt to respond with any questions we had. The porch and decks were amazing! We sat outside almost every day. The only minor detail that would have been a nice addition is to have a TV in each bedroom. The location was great too, being about a half hour or so from either the Nags Head or Avon areas in case we wanted to venture north or south.

Super Relaxing

The Welcome Back house has everything our group of four ever needed and it looks just like in the pictures. It's clean, cozy, well organized, and functional. We couldn't have asked for more! Hi, my name is Ryan Jones. I am the new owner of this awesome house. I recently bought this house from my mom. She has owned it since 2016. I’m happy to now realize my dream of owning a home in this place I love. I enjoying fishing, and go whenever I get the chance.

My mom is going to continue to manage the home for me if you communicate with her, you will speaking to Lorri Jones.

I have been coming to the Outer Banks since I was a little boy, always dreamed of owning a home here. My dream was realized in May, of 2022.

My mom owns a house 5 doors down and my sister and her family own the house behind mine. I also have an Aunt and several friends with homes here, a real sense of community.

Why they chose this property

I love this house, the perfect size, location and it had a screened in porch, and a place to gather under the house as well as the upper deck! My family looks forward to many trips to this warm and welcoming place we all love so much. Every time I am there and stroll over "my dune" I’m amazed with how beautiful it is. So tranquil, unspoiled, and serene. I sit on the beach and look back at the dune and can't see any high rises, or buildings, nothing ... Just the beauty!
