THE VENETIAN WATERWAY TRAIL & THE LEGACY TRAIL: Venice is fortunate in that we have TWO incredible paved walkways for walkers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, and all other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy! Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely home! We had a great time! The house had everything we needed and it was very clean. Plenty of towels and beach chairs and we love the extra fridge in the garage! Neighbors were quiet. It is centrally located to everything we needed. We have been vacationing in Venice for quite a few years and this is the best house we have stayed at to date!

Beautiful ahome

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, tastefully decorated, with all the vacation amenities right at your fingertips. Having a pool was a must for my husband. We grilled out 2 nights on the grill and all our clothes were clean for our trip home. Having the ferry pass was great. We’d definitely recommend this home for other vacationers.

Very Enjoyable Stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed out stay in South Venice and would definitely go back!

The access to the private beach is amazing! We did hear grumblings from the local residents who had to wait longer than normal at the ferry dock that 'people shouldn't be allowed to let renters use their passes' - but everyone was still kind and courteous.

Just an FYI, if you are making plans for the time you are there, don't plan to go to the private beach on Wednesday, as the the ferry is closed for maintenance every Wednesday.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed.

The pool is approximately 12' x 28' and while it isn't a 'huge' pool, our kids loved it and spent most of the time we weren't at the beach in the pool.

Our only negative feedback would be that the tap water doesn't have great pressure and it has a distinct sulfur taste and smell. You could smell it especially when you used hot water (washing machine, dishwasher, shower, etc). As well, the top portion of the en suite bathroom window is not opaque and doesn't have any curtains, so you can be somewhat exposed at times.

Overall, we loved our vacation in South Venice and would definitely rent this home again.

Owner's Response: Tim, First, thank you for the nice review. As property managers, Amy and I strive to maintain all locations as pristine as possible. I am sorry about your concerns about the quality of the water, I was not aware of the problem and have a call into the company that services the system. Florida water (untreated) is notorious for its' odor especially to those from the northern climates where the water coming out of the ground is a luxury. There are two tanks associated with the system, one for softening and one for mineral removal and occasionally they need service. I will have a curtain installed by the end of the week. Thanks Again Bud Johnson

Great house! Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this beautifully decorated Venice Home. Home is exactly as picture - open, airy and bright. Clean and well kept outside and in. Great location - close to shops, beaches (we went to 5 different beaches, all minutes away!) and restaurants. We are a family of 5 and this Home had plenty of space. Would definitely stay again!!

Guaranteed to make you smile

  • 5 of 5

House was large but cozy; everything you could possibly ask for was under one roof. Enjoyed the large living and dining area which came in handy when we entertained for Thanksgiving. Pool and lanai were like heaven; tropical greenery helped make it a special place to unwind. An added bonus was the proximity to the beaches, as well as the ferry to South Venice's private beach. Would definitely return for a longer stay...

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything we expected. It was very roomy and accommodated about 15 family members as we entertained after my daughter's wedding. It has easy access to shopping, grocery and beaches. My grandsons enjoyed the pool. It was great to have a full washer and dryer right in the home. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals.

I would definitely think about renting this home again.
