Why Don and Judy Cook chose Honeoye

We saw the cottage and fell in love with the location and views. Honeoye Lake has a reputation for being a great fishing lake for walleye and bass.

Great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely weekend at Cook's Nook on Honeoye Lake. The cottage was very cute and more spacious than the pictures show. Everything was clean and labeled clearly...extra linens and towels. It has everything you need. The kitchen was fully stocked with new supplies. The deck is HUGE and the view of the lake is gorgeous. There is a short walk down a steep hill to the water which may be difficult for some. Otherwise the lake was perfect for fishing, kayaking and relaxing. Don and Judy are great hosts and responded quickly to my messages. We would definitely visit again!!

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at the Honeoye Lake Front Cottage and found the cottage to be better than expected. There was a slight glitch with the air conditioning that was quickly remedied by the owner, so no complaints, they were very attentive to our needs.

We look forward to returning next year.

Very nice cottage with beautiful view of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

Nice property that is well maintained. The kitchen had all the basics. Towels and linens available plus a washer and dryer made for much less packing on our part. The deck at the back was very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside and viewing the lake. The kayaks were a great way to tour and enjoy the lake. Also several beautiful parks close by to hike and explore. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very guest friendly place

  • 5 of 5

Though the weather was unusually hot and humid, we very much enjoyed our stay: The owners clearly made every effort to make the cottage as guest friendly as possible. There were even labels on the electrical switches. The cottage was clean and neat upon arrival and a notebook contained all of the information we needed. The backyard down to the lake is fairly steep, but not quite as bad as some of the other commentators have implied. I am 63 with a bad hip and I was able to traverse it with little difficulty. The Pergo flooring made it easy to keep clean even with our golden; the kitchen and bathrooms were suitably stocked. The bottom line is: if you are looking for someone to stay that is clean, well-appointed and as hassle free as possible, this is the place for you.
