Relaxing Weekend

We stayed over Labor Day weekend. The home was well stocked and quiet and comfortable. It rained so it was a pleasure to have the sunroom to hang out in.

The home was well equipped with everything we needed. Home was very spacious, well kept. Cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful with local recommendation of activities, wineries and restaurants. We loved the patio and deck overlooking the lake. Will definitely book again!

Cute house

The circuit for the hot water was off but the owner came right over and fixed it. All the houses are right on top of each other but walking around it seems that is just how it is. A cute house and a relaxing vacation.

Very pleasant home

We enjoyed the house and its amenities very much. The dining and sitting areas were very nicely equiped and pleasant to use. There is a an enclosed glassed-in porch and a large deck, both of which were nice. We were attending a family reunion where most activities took place at another property, so the lake access wasn't important to us.

Review of "Family Retreat on Honeoye Lake"

We loved the house! It was the perfect size for our family which consisted of five adults. We also enjoyed the morning sun on the back porch. When there was a minor issue with the hot water, we requested help, and it was taken care of immediately! It was a nice, private, peaceful environment! We also loved how close the lake was to the house. Overall, we really enjoyed the house rental, and will come back next time we decide to vacation on the Finger Lakes in New York.

Lovely place but not perfect

We live in Canada where vacation homes are not immediately adjacent to each other. It felt like we were in a city by a lake. While the property we rented was really nice, the fact that they advertised two queen bedrooms was misleading. My wife and I had to climb over each other to get out of bed as the second queen bed was in the tiniest of possible rooms. The rest of the the place was quite nice, and we were able to sit in the large living room and chat with our dear friends from New York. You should expand the second bedroom by about two feet or put a single bed in there.

The property description does accurately describe the lake access area, however the intangible is that the area sits at the end of the access road where other lake homes are situated. You have to walk through someone's driveway to get to it. We didnt feel entirely comfortable making ourselves "at home" in the access area. Other residents were milling about, and it was obvious they knew each other. Such is the nature of a lake situated VRBO rental with lake access and not lake front property, and perhaps we could have (should have) been more comfortable, but this IS the situation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate you noting that the lake access is accurately described in the property listing, while also sharing your perspective on the setting and proximity to neighboring homes. We understand how the shared access area may have felt less private than anticipated, and your feedback is helpful in setting expectations for future guests. Thank you for staying with Finger Lakes Premier Properties, and we hope to welcome you back to the Finger Lakes in the future.

Cozy cabin feel with good amenities

Location was good but driveway a little steep. Although the old part was not air conditioned the rest was very pleasant. Enjoyed the sun porch and grill. Lake was about 1000 feet down hill but didn't affect our stay.

Family Fun

Very nice property. The Haven was clean, well maintained and everything we needed was included. It was a comfortable stay for 5 adults. It is advertised for 8 adults (max), but more than 5 adults would be difficult. It is not lakeside and requires a short walk to get to the lake. We were attending an event in the area, so lake access was not a concern for us. Overall it was a great stay, but it would have been cramped if we had more adults.
