Castle By The Sea is a highly rated vacation home rental in beautiful Dana Point, CA at the southern terminus of Pacific Coast Highway midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. A few miles South of Laguna Beach and 3 miles from Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano. It is close to the beach with great views, restaurants, parks, arts and festivals, dana point harbor, resorts and many wedding venues. You’ll enjoy your stay because of the location, the view, the peace and quiet and the homes’ comfort. My place is good for couples, business travelers, and families and many stay for weddings held locally due to it’s venue and beach close location. Dana Point Permit #16-0537

This property is highly recommended. Great location, responsive and helpful host, and one of the best stocked places I’ve stayed in. There were many thoughtful touches such as water, half and half, coffee, and toiletries. The Dana Point marina was close by, Lyft drivers came quickly, and beds were comfy. I wish we’d had time to just hang out on the terrace but we had a busy few days. We’d definitely return!

Great house in a central area. Easy walking to restaurants and trolleys. The host was very responsive. The house was clean but carpet and paint are old. Be aware that it is a Multi level home on a steep lot. Lots of stairs to outside decks.

We enjoy our Dana Point VRBO! The host was rvery esponsive throughout, which made everything easy. The location is fantastic — a quiet neighborhood with ocean views, and an easy walk to Doheny and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Parking was no issue at all with both driveway and street options available.The kitchen was well-stocked, and we especially appreciated the beach supplies which made our beach days effortless. The space comfortably fit our group of five.A few areas to note the wall-mounted AC units left the downstairs bedrooms stuffy (though it is an unusually hot summer), there's some wear and tear- the carpet and baseboard paint could use a refresh, and the bedrooms would benefit from less bulky furniture so the beds aren't pushed against the wall to make it easier to maneuver.Overall, a great location and beach house!

Great location within easy distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. The house was well kept, nicely designed and clean. Cary was a considerate host, checking in with us about our arrival time and available to assist. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with items you might need. Really appreciated the quality of toiletries.

We had a great stay at Castle by the Sea. The property was great, location was excellent - close to the beach, harbour, shops, and restaurants. We would definitely return here next time we visit!

Family get away

Great location- loved being able to walk to beach , parks and marina. Cary was a wonderful host/ property manager. If we are lucky enough to return to Dana Point would definitely try to rent this home again!
