This condo could use an upgrade but it was good for a warm place and soft bed.

Relatively close to Peak 8 and close to stop 8 on the "Free Ride" bus service that can bring you up the mountain to Peak 8 and the gondola into town. Or you can ride the bus into town. You cannot ski directly to this condo.

When we got there, the first thing I noticed was a hole in the bedroom door. It was 1:30 in the morning when we arrived, so I just made a mental note to call the office about it so they didn't think that we did it. Very soon after, I noticed the sound of water trickling from inside the wall in the bathroom and knocking like metal knocks when it heats. These noises were constant! So annoying. I put this on my mental list, too.

Next morning, the coffee pot buttons wouldn't operate the pot. I am not dumb. The buttons did NOTHING!

So, 3 things to call about. Got a new pot. Worked fine. Told the guy about the water noise. He said that it sounded like someone needed to jiggle the handle (we were on 1st floor). The hole was noted and he commented that he knew it wasn't us who did it.

Back to the water/banging noises: had to listen to it the whole time we were there. Nothing was done about it and maybe it was something that couldn't be fixed easily. I don't know. It may not bother some people, but I could hear it when the bathroom door was closed and I am a light sleeper.

This condo could use an update, but it kept us warm and the beds were comfortable. The couches need to be replaced. We planned this trip only a month before, so we were lucky to get it.

The main office is in town and the condo is halfway up the mountain. Going into town takes a while unless you have a car. (We are not from a snowy area, so I was not willing to get us killed or maimed!) The bus and gondola are free and fairly convenient. We did use Uber once and tried a second time in the morning(couldn't get one at 7am). It was my first time to Uber and it worked out great!

Overall, this was a great trip and although there are some complaints, it did not factor in to how much fun we had. This condo served its purpose without being fancy.

Side note: I strongly suggest snowmobiling! It was incredible!

Great location

  • 3 of 5

The space was great. The location was really convenient to Snowflake Chairlift. The furniture was dated and uncomfortable.
