This property, from its location to the sleeping layout to the beautiful upkeep and comfortable atmosphere, was an absolute DREAM! My four besties, who got to experience a Michigan fall for the first time, and I were just in awe of how perfect this VRBO suited our needs, and made for the most perfect environment to both explore town together and settle in for long nights of catching up. Charming Condo in South Haven

We had a great visit to South Haven, and Phoenix Nest was a charming condo for our long weekend. The location is awesome, just steps away from shops and restaurants. We enjoyed looking out onto the main street from the comfort of the living room. The balcony was perfect for a relaxing card game while enjoying a bottle of wine. The owner was accommodating, responsive, and easy to work with. We would recommend!

I usually rent a bed-and-breakfast. This is my first time renting a space in town. It was clean perfect location. We were there for the harvest ride so we weren’t there very often, but it was perfect and we will be back.

This was a beautiful, clean condo in the most convenient spot. We loved staying here! It was super close to restaurants, shops and the beach and it even had a filtered water pitcher in the fridge, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, board games, 2 beach chairs, etc. It was perfect for our family of 6 and we can’t wait to come back!

Short stay but sweet

Enjoyed our stay and the smell of baked cookies greeted us on our arrival compliments of the bakery downstairs. Clean easy to get around tow, parking overnight around the corner. We are 75 and 76 years old and stairs were doable.

Great weekend escape

We loved this condo for our winter weekend away. It’s in the perfect location to enjoy all of south haven. We walked to the lake a couple times to see the ice and enjoyed walks all over downtown. The condo was super clean and had everything we needed. There are hooks everywhere which we have found is essential when renting (towels, swimsuits, snow pants, coats, etc.) and plenty of space for our family of 5. We had an excellent experience staying here.

I have always loved South Haven as a vacation spot (I live in Chicago). The place we stayed was well located, well equipped, comfortable, and quiet. It will certainly be under serious consideration for future South Haven trips.

Great stay, convenient location

Our family had a great stay at Phoenix Nest. The location is perfect for walking around South Haven; you can easily get to the harbor shops in one direction and South Beach in the other. Our daughter loved having the loft to herself. We appreciated having tons of extra towels and lots of hangers and closet space in the bedroom. We would happily stay here again.

Great location, cozy place!

My family and I stayed at the condo for a few days during the week for a quick getaway from Chicago. We have been to South Haven many times but have always stayed farther from the downtown area. Being in the mix was a game changer. It was so easy to walk down the stairs to access the restaurants, shops and even walk to the pier or South Beach. The inside of the condo was clean and homey. It has everything you need. The living space was so cozy and we loved sitting in the swivel chairs and looking out on the street activity and the water. I really appreciated that they provided a few trash bags, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and some other essentials that saved me a trip to the store. The welcome binder was helpful and we had no problems finding the trash room or accessing the internet. Beds were comfy, there were extra towels, pillows, and blankets. You can tell a lot of thought went into this place. One thing I will mention is that there are a few windows near the stairs that bring in a lot of light and don't have shades, so bring your eye masks for sleeping in the loft. Also, sound carries throughout so if you have people sleeping in the loft, bring a fan or little sound machine to drown out some noise. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

South Haven

Excellent rental with excellent location. I would definitely rent here again. Daytime parking is a little bit difficult on the weekend if you leave your space due to the crowds.

Great Loft Apartment in Downtown South Haven

Beautiful loft apartment, well appointed, great views of Black River and main street, convenient to entire downtown. Loved the amount of space and downtown view, feeling of being in the center of the action. Good for those who don't mind stairs, probably not the best for anyone where stairs are an issue (both from the street entrance up to second floor and up to loft master bedroom). Everything you'd need, great modern feel. Convenient location close to the action also means you might here voices on street and loud cars cruising through later into evening. (Wasn’t too bad for us at end of March, but as summer comes, probably even busier. Again, not a criticism, just reality of being in the heart of the main tourist street through town.)Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Literally next door to great Restaurant (Taste) and above a bakery so you get amazing smells wafting up. Convenient nightlife every direction and walkable to anything you need. Main grocery store 1 mile away but essentials can be found very close. Hope to stay again sometime!

Comfortable 2 BR 1Bath walk up apartment middle of town street front. It is close to everything, and that was perfect for us with our teen and young adult kids. A little noisy in the 9p-11p weekend hours and wish that had been stated. The parking is a bit of an issue if you are carrying alot because the parking lot has a fence around it that you have to go all the way around and then walk through to the front of the building to walk up stairs. I wish the parking was described more accurately to reflect this. Our teen and young adult sons loved the loft bedroom space and it had a desk that was perfect for an unexpected online quiz for school. The unit is clean enough but things like a dirty bathroom door and walls kept me from reviewing it more highly.

The condo was lovely, and we had a wonderful stay. Getting into the condo on a Friday afternoon was a challenge. We finally found somewhere to park and then had to walk quite a distance with our luggage to get to the condo.
