Why Julie chose South Haven Charter Township
Love our darling home and hope you do too! We looked for a few years after falling in love with South Haven. Finally found what we wanted - a comfy retreat near all beach and town in a serene setting

Great Location, Screened in Porches, A lot of comfy sofas and chairs.
We have been renting in South haven for 10 years and never have we had a rental that was so well stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, cleaning products, games, books and a lot of room to spread out. It was a great place for the gathering of friends!
Great house, perfect location
We had a great vacation with 5 adults and a 3 and 1 year old. Plenty of common area to socialize. We spent a majority of our wake time on the screened in porch! Beds and linens were nice and clean. The central location and the short walk to the beach, the kids park, and town/river walk made it so we parked our cars when we got there and didn't have to drive them again until we left. My older son loved riding his bike around the quiet, dead-end street with little traffic.
It did seem like a few things could have been a bit more clean. The porch didn't seem to have been swept in a long while and there were bugs and spider webs. Also, many dishes and pots and pans were put away but dirty upon arrival. This probably has more to do with the cleaning crew than the owners, I'd guess.
Besides those few things, we loved everything else. We loved using the bikes and the beach chairs and umbrella throughout the week.
If we make it back to South Haven for a future vacation, which I think we will, we would love to stay here again. Thank you for a great vacation!!
Relaxation and Lake Sunsets
The location, spaciousness, and amenities made for a comfortable stay.
One of our best VRBO experiences ever! An excellent value for the convenience to all of SOHA.
Thank you so much!
Great House and location.
I highly recommend this property. I loved the house, and the location was perfect. Both the beach and the town were a couple of blocks away, so my children could walk to both. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, and it had two large areas where my family could spend time together. We will definitely rent this home again.
This property is lovely, well appointed and so clean. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable and the home is so close to town and beach so the location is perfect. I highly recommend it!
We had a fantastic family vacation while staying here for 2 weeks. Ages ranged from 2-67 and everyone loved this house. The screened-in porch was great. The kitchen had what we needed to make meals at home. We also did some grilling and made s'mores by the fire pit in the back. The house was clean on arrival, beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were stocked with fabulous towels. Julie was prompt in answering our questions and easy to work with. Being at the end of a dead-end street, it was quiet with nearly no traffic so the kids could ride bikes, play soccer and play in the street (like the good old days!) We parked the car and walked to town and the beach (5 and 7 year old walked, 2 year old in stroller). We biked the trails and played at Kids Corner. There's several great restaurants in town, our favorite was SuCasa (Mexican, by the movie theater). A couple of mornings we walked to Cafe Julia for coffee and a treat/pastry. The farmers market was also fun to visit just down the street. There's some fun shops along Phoenix Str. to check out. Overall, we just LOVE summertime in South Haven and this house was perfect for us!
