Keep the property and all furnishings in good order 6. Only use appliances for their intended uses 7. Pets are NOT allowed. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the unit. Before checkout, please place soiled linens in washing machine and begin cycle. 9. Garbage: Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage or recycling receptacle, located at the side of the house. 10. Fireplace: The fireplace is a non-vented propane gas log fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace. 11. Keys: House must be locked at all times. At time of checkout, please leave the keys on the kitchen table and lock the door. 12. For your privacy, please remember to log out of your Netflix account on the TV.

Great location with wonderful outdoor spaces! There were lots of nice amenities throughout the house and beds were super comfy. In the third bedroom, there are now bunk beds instead of a day bed and trundle.

Nice cottage with proximity to town

We enjoyed staying here as the location was close enough to walk to the beach and the town for dinner. It was very clean and had beach supplies we could use!

Perfect Getaway

The home is well organized, family friendly, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed many sunsets, walks to downtown, biking, and pickleball (Douglass). Great place to experience whatever activity you choose or just relax on the beach or in the backyard.

Great place to stay

Great house to stay in. We had three adults and two kids. We could walk to the beach, the neighborhood felt safe, and downtown was a short drive away. Very clean. I forgot a key one day and the owners quickly helped me get back into the house. Would stay again.

Beach vacation in South Haven

This was a clean, nice, cozy house. It was perfect for our family of five. We have 3 kids (9, 7, and 3 years old). The girls loved their bunk bed. My son, who is 3, loved his bed with the trundle. The beds were comfortable. There was a nice fenced in patio in the back followed by a lovely fenced in yard. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but we’d love to next time. Good water pressure in the shower. It was great having a washer and dryer. And a dishwasher. Last year, we stayed on a property with no dishwasher. When you have kids, these details make a big difference. We were able to use the collapsible wagon and beach chairs that are in the shed for the beach (so great not having to pack those). Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We look forward to staying here again next year!

Family friendly rental

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate, the kitchen well stocked with pots/pans, spices, etc. and the layout was very nice with young children (no stairs, good sleeping options). We were a little worried that the location would be a little far from the beach, but it is an easy 10-minute walk or a 2-minute drive (with lots of available parking) so we were pleasantly surprised.

Gem in South Haven

Hazel was a perfect place for our family. Frank responded right away to a concern we had. The patio was very nice for evening dining. The shed had all the beach essentials. This is a very walkable neighborhood. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer worked very well. We would definitely book here again.

Hazel House Stay

10 out of 10. Highly recommended. One of the best houses we have ever rented. House was perfect. They thought of everything to make your stay a great experience. Was very pleasantly surprised. Family loved it and they are picky!!! Location is great and short walk to south beach.

A wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay on Hazel street very much. The home was clean and just right for our needs. Everything was just as described, a short walk to south beach or downtown. The key box did not work but that was easily remedied. We would happily stay here again!

Nice house, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and kids corner

Considering that we have 8 & 5 year old daughters and a toddler, we were very satisfied with the house, its amenities and location. The next time we are in South Haven, we will definitely try to book the house again.

South Haven - As Advertised

Clean home close to great South Haven beaches. Small home perfect for us (two parents and two grade school kids). We've rented vacation homes before and not as advertised, this one matched the listing.

Nice home but needs new mattresses for beds

This is a very good property in most ways. However, the queen bed is very uncomfortable and the other full bed was not ideal for two people. We even tried the bunk beds which also could use a mattress change. Really hope the owner gets a new mattress or a topper. Otherwise this is a very nice property. Outdoor patio is very nice and having access to the beach chairs was a nice extra bonus. Owner was accommodating, kitchen was full.

Great second stay

We stayed for a week this year and booked because we had a great experience when we stayed 2 years ago. Great location, an easy walk, ride or drive to the beach. The house is clean and has everything that we needed. Definitely recommend.

Small but mighty!

Great location, clean, wonderful yard & porch aare wonderful & friendly/helpful owners! We've rented a lot of houses & this one ranks right up there in the top. Our family of 6 (4 kiddos between 9 months & 10) had plenty of space to sleep & play & the fenced in yard was a bonus. Nice distance to the beach & downtown areas. The master bed is a tad stiff, but luckily my husband can sleep anywhere & I don't mind the couch. There's a nice selection of games & puzzles that we utilized on a rainy day & at night. We will be sure to book this location the next time we find ourselves in South Haven!

Cute little home with a great location

This was an ideal home to stay in. Quick response from the owners and resolution to any issues (which were minor). The only thing I would suggest is more comfortable mattress in the master. Cheaper mattress and bedding made for a less than comfortable sleep. The couch and chairs are not comfortable in the living area either. All in all I would stay here again. I would just bring a mattress topper!

30 years ago Frank and Becky co-bought their first vacation home in beautiful South Haven. Since then, they have returned every year with their family for it's wonderful appeal. Recently, Frank and Becky bought a home of their own and chose to make it a rental so others can create the same incredible memories that they have made in South Haven!
