Lovely cottage. Friendly owners. Lots to do in the area.

The location of Lake Lodge is beautiful. The grounds are lovely and well-kept. The house is exceptionally well-equipped with everything you might need. The house and furnishings are a bit dated, but comfortable and functional. Wonderful kitchen.

The Manor Stables was absolutely stunning. Beautiful cottage as well as even more stunning location. The church nearby was lovely to walk by, the field next to the cottage held a few darling sheep’s, and then beyond that a breathtaking view of field and public footpaths around; as well as so much to explore around the area. Mandy and Tom were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful, and some of the friendliest people I’ve met. My fiancé and I are definitely planning on coming around again soon, as our visit there was just perfect.

The house was lovely. It was built in the 1600s and still retains much of the features/charm of that era while still being modern. It suited us perfectly. Thanks

My mom and I recently stayed at this beautiful property. Alan, Kathy Lee and their entire family, were so very welcoming and absolutely wonderful to visit. We were on a mission to do some ancestry research, based from this area, and we were very successful in experiencing exactly what we set out to do. We also live in a rural farm community, so that's why I quote "There's no place like home". We researched some of the roots of my mom's family and stayed in a beautiful rural farm community, feeling the comforts of home. Our only regret is the fact that we had to leave this place, as staying for a whole day to relax and take this entire beautiful place in would have been ideal. Thanks so very much to this entire wonderful family and hope others can have this delightful experience as well.
