Friendly Cambridge will entice you
The area's history and museums are just a few of the reasons to vacation in Cambridge. Travelers appreciate the restaurants in this welcoming city. Whether you're planning a family holiday, romantic stay or friends trip, vacation rentals offer features like full kitchens and laundry facilities for a more convenient stay.
A diverse list of attractions
It's hard to talk about Cambridge without mentioning the famous Glassware Museum that houses over 6,000 pieces, from lamps to vases. If that's not your thing, you could hop in the car and drive up to the Georgetown Vineyards, a small winery that offers daily tastings and tours throughout the summer season. Alternatively, visit the Rocky Fork Ranch Resort to watch the free youth rodeo that sees brave kids as young as 7 riding bulls. If you've managed to score a Cambridge vacation rental in December, you won't be able to miss Dickens Victorian Village.
Few things are better than a day on the lake
For outdoorsy types, there are countless things to do near a Cambridge vacation rental, most of which are focused around the Salt Fork Lake park. During the hot Ohio summers, there is little as pleasing as launching the boat for a day on the water and occasionally throwing yourself overboard to cool off. Alternatively, the trails around the lake and further afield beg to be explored, whether it's by foot, bike or on horseback. The quieter spring days are perhaps best spent swinging your clubs on one of the challenging nearby courses.
Late summer sunshine
Ohio's weather is famously changeable, but, if you're looking for consistency, do try to secure a Cambridge vacation rental in late summer. If you don't mind forfeiting the heat for weather which is somewhat changeable, the Ohio fall foliage can be spectacular when leaves burst into color from September, but be warned that it's a popular time to visit. The winter brings plenty of snow, but don't discount the season. The prices on rentals tend to be lower, and there's a range of snowy outdoor activities to take part in, from cross-country skiing to snowshoeing.
Don't miss the ospreys in summer
Wildlife enthusiasts will surely love the Salt Fork State Park just down the road from their Cambridge vacation rentals. There are many species here, but a hike along the trails or around the lake will reveal everything from woodchucks to wood ducks. In the 80-acre marshland, you can hear the call of the songbird. Be sure to bring your camera because you're not going to want to miss a shot of the bounding cottontail rabbits and shy white-tailed deer which dart off through the park's trees. In summer, you'll be able to spot young ospreys in their treetop nests.
