Private Oasis - Luxury 3BR/3BA Villa with Garden and Pool
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Villa Oasis is named oasis after the garden. The feel is that an oasis has been created in Cozumel's town, San Miguel. Once you enter the property, you are surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation, the sound of a waterfall, perimeter fountains, and a 1/2 acre lot that is shaded by huge, old mango trees and tall Royal Palms. This sets the ambiance, which is cooling to your senses.
The house has three bedrooms, one bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with 2 twins, and third bedroom is extremely large with two built in twins and a queen. There are three full bathrooms in the house. The living room has a built-in, giant screen TV with a surround-sound system, cable TV, VHS/DVD, Stereo system for cassettes and CDs. The house also has high-speed wireless internet.
The living room and dining room are done in Mayan stone, all leading to a bougainvillea covered patio. What a great finale to your day, that is, sitting on the patio reminiscing about your unforgettable day at the beach or your day scuba diving, and knowing for sure you are in paradise! Jeep and Car Rentals are easy and affordable being approximately $35 USD per day, and can be delivered to the house.
Six people can sleep very comfortably, with a maximum occupancy of 8. The gardener comes daily to clean the yard and pool. The maid comes daily to clean up, do dishes and linen, and serve breakfast if requested - $15 daily tip expected to Silvia for this. She is a great cook and can also do lunch/dinner on request.
The town of San Miguel on the island of Cozumel is a small, Caribbean town with many restaurants, shops, scuba diving shops, a plaza, hotels, a few shopping centers, yet definitely a laid back atmosphere. We are 2 blocks from the main ocean strip. There is also a nature marine reserve, Chankanaab, just 10 minutes away, where you can snorkel, dive, swim with dolphins, and do much more.
There are several beautiful, sandy white beaches. You can choose secluded ones or you can spend your day jetskiing, paragliding, and more. Visit Punta Sur by kayak or jeep, or see Cozumel's beginning's at the museum in town. We are a 25 minute ferry ride away from the Yucatan Peninsula's port or Playa del Carmen, where you can spend a day or two visiting the famous ruins of Tulum and Chichen-Itza. Playa del Carmen is only 45 Kilometers from Cancun International airport. The location of Cozumel offers whatever you want it to be.
If you can't decide between Mexico or the Caribbean, why not pick both!

We loved this home! What we were truly looking for this trip was somewhere with space to spread out a little. The inside of the home was spacious and clean. The outdoor space was beautiful! We spent each morning having coffee in the garden. Each day after the beach, we came home to play in the pool, talk about our day and just relax. The staff kept the whole property beautiful. I would deffinitely recommend this property to anyone whether you have small kids, teenagers or adults only. Fantastic location and the pictures do not lie, the gardens were beautiful!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed here for a week and it was amazing. Quiet, serene and totally relaxing! Charlie was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around. The garden is beautiful and the pool was clean and well maintained. Throughout our stay, Sylvia (the housekeeper) came everyday to change our sheets and towels. Not even hotels do that! The pool and garden caretaker came every other day to clean the grounds. Sylvia made us lunch one day and we had so much food that we skipped dinner and have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. We will definitely stay here again. My husband and I go to Cozumel every year to dive and this will be the 1st place I will check for availability next year! For reference, it is a 5 min walk to Dive Paradise and Mega. There is a great place for dinner 2 blocks away called Los Tres Gatitos, and a great cocina economica place also 2 blocks away called Chilango.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I stayed here over the Easter Holiday, 2011 with my husband, 3 kids (ages 2, 5, 13) and my mother. We had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the house. We wanted to stay somewhere that we could walk to most places and this home is conveniently located to anything you might need. My family and I felt very safe and welcome here. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for (daily actually). The pool was my kids favorite part of the vacation. They loved playing in the upper pool where the waterfall begins. The pool is very clean and nicely tiled. The inside of the home is also very clean and comfortable. It is so wonderfully decorated and authentic, every room is full of character and nice furnishings. The pictures don't do justice. But I do have to say that my favorite part of the stay was Silvia. Everyday she came and cleaned and fixed breakfast and for 3 evenings cooked dinner. It was fantastic! She is an amazing cook. She also cleaned up after every meal. The food was better than anything we ate at any of the nice restaurants we went to (less $ too). Silvia is also a wonderfully kind and sweet soul. She doesn't speak English (and I don't speak Spanish) but we figured everything out and my kids loved her. Tip her well, she deserves every penny! I feel this home was perfect for us and hope to stay again in the future.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The house was a wonderful treat, and we thank you for making it available for us to use. Clearly it is a labor of love and we feel lucky to have been able to have had it as our home for the time we were in Cozumel.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
