Our privately owned and managed villa is one mile south of Puerto Vallarta and the 'old town' for shopping and restaurants. The villa is 5000 square feet, built in the traditional hacienda style...with beautiful Mexican tile throughout. The VIEWS and SUNSETS are endless and spectacular from the entire house... as it is all open to the Bay of Banderas with a quick 5 min. walk to CONCHAS CHINAS BEACH.
Your incredible STAFF of three is just waiting to pamper you. They shop each day for fresh food and offer you two [expertly prepared] DELICIOUS meals daily, an IMMACULATE villa and the 'BEST' MARGARITAS in Vallarta. You are given a detailed bill at the end of your stay and reimburse them for your food and drink.
There are three spacious a/c bedrooms, large double sink baths, two bars, spacious living areas both upstairs and down, terraces and patios, allows for total privacy. One half bath located by the swimming pool and playroom.
You can enjoy complete privacy with the fountains, flowers and lush jungle surrounding three sides of the property, creating a great atmosphere for a relaxing vacation with friends and family. Enjoy a cold margarita, snoozing, swimming, reading and playing games under the 22 foot thatched Palapa by the pool overlooking the blue Pacific.

Why the Owner Chose South Zone
For many years we traveled to Acapulco but in the late 60’s it began to change and so
we looked for another community to visit and found Puerto Vallarta. It was love at
first sight. The warmth of the Vallartan people, the friendliness and quaintness of this tiny
fishing village along with the lush jungle and high mountains cascading down to the magnificient Bay reminded us of southern Italy. To this day, our feelings are still the same even though PV has
grown, it has never lost its that friendly, helpful spirit.
We bought Lot #1 which had the most magnificient view of the entire Bay of Banderas
and yet it was well situated close to town and easily accessible to taxicabs. We feel so lucky
to have found this beautiful property which also provides complete privacy. Casa Do Re Mi was completed in 1971 and we began renting that year. We are now renting to our third generation of guests who all love Casa Do Re Mi.

Our cook is fantastic. Every meal is more delicious than the last. Our houseman is so amazing ... he does make the 'Best' margaritas we've ever had anywhere. He is so friendly and helps make
our reservations for whatever activity we wish to experience...from daily massages at the villa, canopy and fishing trips, golf tee times, to dinner reservations. The flowers, the fountains all create a wonderful paradise to enjoy....as your every wish is met by the staff.
Our location makes it convenient to town and to the beach. We have a totally unobstructed view of the entire Bay of Banderas. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Located on 20 acres of land, our botanical collections feature over 3,000 different species of plants. Our gardens are in a unique tropical dry forest ecosystem at 1,300 feet above sea level. Against
Parasailing, buying silver jewelry, having lunch, people watching and swimming in the Bay of Banderas is only a 5 minute taxi from Casa Do Re Mi.

We’ve been married 45 years and moved to Dallas after spending eight years in the US Marine Corps. My husband has been in the securities business for almost 40 years. We enjoy Puerto Vallarta with it's Botanical Gardens and most friendly people, traveling, gardening and especially our grandchildren. We also are involved in the arts community with a special focus on music and the Dallas Symphony. When the family built Casa Do Re Mi we named it after the Sound of Music which we all enjoyed. The family is full of talented musicians. A niece who is an oboist, a nephew who plays piano and my mother who was an accomplished pianist. Another niece is the Goddess of Green in North Carolina so she keeps us up to date of how to
help the environment in Mexico....that is why we have all the green space around our villa and keep it very natural with waterfalls when it rains in the summer. It's magical.

The magic of an escape from a midwest winter was eagerly anticipated by us all, BUT we were unprepared for the total relaxation of 10 glorious days at Casa Do Re Mi. What a wonderful vacation! Ivan, Chayo and Mayela were all so friendly and accomodating. Your attentive staff, lovely environment, spectacular view and attention to detail are unparrelled. we were truly spoiled and want to thank everyone associated with the Casa.
