You'll be in paradise when you step into this BEACHFRONT condo in the privileged Edgewater House at Bethany's Sea Colony. Tropical island decor makes this unit cheery and fun! Large, light-filled rooms are perfect for gatherings, a good book or movie, and games. There are fabulous ocean views from the living and dining rooms, kitchen, and master bedroom. Enjoy a cup of coffee with the bright morning sun, or a glass of wine with the late afternoon breeze. You'll find the large balcony to be one of your favorite places to relax while watching dolphins swimming offshore. Bring along your iPod and listen to your favorite tunes on the iPod stereos in the bedrooms.
Renovated gourmet kitchen has granite counters and upscale tile flooring. The condo sleeps 4-5 - king bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, and full-size queen sleep sofa in the living room. Full-size washer and dryer (many units in buildings other than Edgewater have smaller stacked washer/dryer units). One assigned parking space, plus unreserved parking for a second car.
Sea Colony's Edgewater House building is extra special. Compared to other 2 bedroom units in the oceanfront buildings, Edgewater's units are much more spacious and the balconies are twice the size. Most of Sea Colony's oceanside amenities are centrally located in the Edgewater House building - indoor pool with jacuzzi and sauna, exercise room, convenience store/deli/ice cream shoppe, kiddie camp, and game room (some seasonal).

The guarded 1/2-mile of private beach is seconds away, as are 5 oceanfront pools, the Edgewater indoor pool and fitness center, and 4 newly-surfaced tennis courts. Don't miss the sandcastle building contest or beach bonfires. You can also hop on the tram that stops at your door for the short ride to Sea Colony West, where you'll find more pools, the indoor and outdoor tennis center, hiking and biking trails, and ponds. In the evening, stroll along the oceanfront promenade, try surf fishing, fly a kite, or take a cool dip. Take a pleasant 10-minute walk into the center of Bethany for shopping, dinner, ice cream or funnel cakes, or just to "people watch". Safety is never an issue, as Sea Colony has 24-hour gated security.
We provide plenty of pillows and blankets. Bring your own sheets and towels, or linen service can also be arranged for a nominal fee. All guests to Sea Colony are required to pay a Recreational Association fee (in season, approx. $35 per person/per week, children under 4 are free). No smoking and no pets. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m.

We had absolutely NO COMPLAINTS after our stay. Great location, great view, great condo, great amenities, great owner, great comfort, great FUN. We absolutely loved out stay and would do it again.

This was our first trip to Bethany Beach and we will definitely go again! This condo is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The open floor plan was perfect for our family and it was easy to watch my toddler playing in the living room while I was in the kitchen. The kitchen is beautiful (with a great view to the balcony and ocean!) and well-equipped. The living room and dining room are bright and spacious. The oceanfront view from the balcony is amazing and we were able to see beautiful sunrises. The location in Sea Colony is very convenient, with the pool, kiddie pool and beach within a few minutes walk. This was our first time renting through vrbo and we found it so easy to work with these owners. The owner was friendly and responsive and made the transaction stress-free. We would stay in this condo again and recommend it for others!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This was our first trip to Sea Colony and we very much enjoyed it. The unit was everything we could have asked for - clean, bright, spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and well stocked! The view from the balcony was incredible and the central location was ideal for us. The owner was very easy to deal with and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!

2009 was the second year we chose to stay in this unit for our beach vacation, and we have already reserved the unit for a week in 2010. The unit is spacious and is tastefully decorated. The location of the unit within Sea Colony is ideal for us. It is on the 2nd floor of the most centrally located oceanfront building. The unit is easy to go back and forth to from the beach and pool. It is in the same building as a sandwich/ice cream shop, as well as a convenience store. The building also houses a fitness room and indoor pool. Sea Colony and Bethany offer the perfect vacation ammenities for our family. The owners of this unit are wonderful to work with - I would absolutely recommend this unit for a delightful and relaxing beach vacation!

This was our first stay at Sea Colony after years of renting houses in Bethany. My husband, teenage daughter, her friend, and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the ammenties. The condo is roomy and very tastefully decorated. We loved the fantastic ocean view most of all!

My husband and I stayed here over the Fourth of July holiday with our three children, and could not have been more pleased with the unit or Sea Colony. In two previous visits to Sea Colony, we stayed in a one-bedroom in Chesapeake House, but with the addition of our third child we needed more space. This unit was perfect for us -- the decor is vibrant and fun yet very tasteful, the unit is quite spacious, and from the generous-sized balcony you have a great view of all that is happening on the Edgewater Promenade (they have activities nightly) as well as both the indoor and outdoor pools and the beach. Also, the owner was a pleasure to deal with, making the rental a seamless transaction.
