Within the city limits of Helen and walking distance to town, this family built home is located on 1 1/2 acres a couple of blocks behind the new Helen Water Park. Innsbruck Golf Resort is only three blocks away.
You'll love sitting on one of the two covered porches while listening to the sounds of the creek in the back yard. On most days you will see wild turkeys walking through the yard. If you would rather be indoors, enjoy the 32" LCD flat screen TV; high speed internet and WIFI; poker table in the game room; or, sit in the spacious sunroom to relax and enjoy the mountain view through the large picture windows.
The home features two large bedrooms upstairs with queen size pillow-top beds and a private full bath in each. The master bedroom has a sitting area and a desk. Both bedrooms have a 26" LCD flat screen TV. A Playstation 2 Game Console is in the Guest Bedroom along with six games.
The main level of the home has bamboo hardwood flooring and ceramic tile. The beautiful full kitchen has Corian counter tops and a breakfast island where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee and breakfast, or you can enjoy your meals in the dining area. There's also a large full bath with a double vanity on the main level and a separate laundry room.
We personally greet our guests at the front door upon arrival to show you around the cabin and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions. We also provide maps, a travel guide, flyers of local attractions, and local restaurant menus for your convenience.
If you want the feeling of seclusion with much peace and quiet, but want to be close to all of Helen's activities, then this is the place for you. Stay at our cabin and you'll be glad you did. We hope that you will come again and again!

Why the Owner Chose Helen
We chose to build our cabin in Helen, Georgia, because we really like the touch of Bavaria in this re-created alpine village with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers which is full of activities throughout the year.

My husband and I both grew up in Georgia and have visited Helen many times together for relaxation and enjoyment. We found ourselves going back at least twice a year. We liked it so much that we decided to purchase a piece of property and build a vacation home. We later decided that we wanted to give others an opportunity to enjoy it too.

Gary & Terry, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely place.....extremely comfortable & immaculately clean!! Located so conveniently to downtown Helen and yet very quiet & peaceful. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back.

I have stayed in a lot of condos and cabins in the past. This place is by far the nicest place I have stayed in to date. I had brought coffee and sugar for coffee in the mornings, but had for gotten my shampoo. Not to worry, I didn't need anything. It was all there just like a home away from home. It is so nice to be pleasently surprised and I was. The cabin is everything and more than the ad and pictures state. Terry and Gary could not have been any nicer or accomadating. I had some special cercumstances, that were beyond my control and they worked with me like two good friends. My deposit was returned to me within 3 days of my return home. Thanks Terry and Gary. I have your number and so will anybody else that I know looking to stay in Helen, Ga. Good luck and God bless.

Sept.29-Oct.6,2011 We had a wonderfull time and wish to thank the owners for the hospitality.The Cabin was all the Web-Site pictures and description advertised and more.We certainly would return and would recommend it to all our friends.Time went too fast and we wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed here for a weekend motorcycle trip. Great place for 2 couples! Plenty of room and bathroom space. We loved the wood burning fireplace on the cool autumn nights. We enjoyed watching the turkeys and loved the surprise visit at 3 AM by a mother bear and cub that decided to check out the gas grill on the deck. How exciting! We took the short walk to town, but there are a couple of hills. But that just means you don't have to feel guilty about eating a big dinner. The house is like new and I will stay there the next time I visit Helen.

All things stated in the preceding reviews are on the mark. The "cabin " is spacious, beautifully furnished and decor is great. The location is in the city limits but gives you the feeling of being the only ones for miles. Peaceful, quiet but only minutes to Main Street Helen, minutes to Cleveland and the Cabbage Patch doll hospital (don't have to be a kid to enjoy it), Ruby Falls and so many other things to see and do.. All you have to bring are your clothes, as as soon as you walk in you are at home. The pics on this website are exactly as it is. This is our 5th vacation in Helen, our 1st stay here and our best.. Hopefully we will do it again next time..

This house is the nicest place I have ever stayed in. Everything was so clean. The view from the sun room made you feel so relaxed. The owner provided so many things that other places did not provide. We had everything that we could possibly need to cook with. The kitchen was so organized you could find anything you needed. You could set on the patio and hear the creek. The couple that owned this beautiful place was so nice and made us feel at home. We toured Helen and couldn't wait to get back to our house we were staying in. That is how nice this place is!!!

We stayed from September 2-5th, 2011 and for the first time we finally found a vacation rental that the description on the internet was truthful. The property was very clean and very well maintained. Gary met us there and showed us around and gave us a lovely botte of wine. We really enjoyed our family vacation and I would recommend this property to everyone. We really liked this house. Roomy, well laid out with a number of extra's & amenities. Extremely clean and well kept. Kids (9 & 13) loved the place, especially playing cards most nights before bed in the poker room. Owners are very nice and responsive. I can't imagine a better deal for the price. We stayed 6 nights and used it as a base to explore the nearby mountains, parks, and waterfalls. The location is secluded and quiet but a minute or two drive puts you at the waterpark. It is walking distance but the grade is steep coming back and it was easier just to drive. Property is as-advertised and we didn't see any other place in the area we would have rather stayed.

This was a great place to stay while visiting in Helen. The accommodations has all the comforts of home. There wasn't anything lacking. We have stayed in numerous condos and houses and this one has to be the cleanest we have ever rented. Gary had good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We had a blast tubing and will be back for a repeat next year! Hope to stay with you again.
