My brother and his wife flew down from Pennsylvania and my family drove up from Georgia to have a reunion vacation, play golf, visit Charleston, and lounge at the beach. We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The owners were accessible, quick to respond, provided additional information, and were very good to work with. Their home is lovely, exceptionally clean and well decorated - I'd say beachy meets Pottery Barn! The location was ideal for our day trips and activities; nighttime brought cookouts at home on the grill or clubbing/dining in Charleston. I recommend this property for renters looking for a quality home in a quiet neighborhood that is well maintained in an ideal location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I spent 2 1/2 months here and felt like we were in a real home. The house was well maintained, the furnishings were very pleasant and the kitchen was very well stocked. We loved how bright the house was even on the occasionial rainy days. The beach is a very short walk away and there is access to pool within an even shorter distance away. We also loved that the owners were local just in case we needed anything. We would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I stayed in this home for a week and found it to be lovely, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the towels were big and plentiful. It was a very short walk to the beach, and short biking ride to the golf courses, tennis, and the shops of the Hotel. We all had a lovely stay and highly recommend this home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have been renting homes in Wild Dunes for years. This home is BY FAR one of the best! Not only is it impeccably clean, extremely comfortable, and nicely updated/furnished but the owners are EXCELLENT to work with and made us feel like truly welcomed guests in their beautiful home. The kitchen and baths are all updated and well stocked. Take the path behind the house and you're a block from the beach. Or stroll for 10 minutes to he hub of The Boardwalk! Having a great home to stay in can make or break your vacation. It was so wonderful to come home from an exhausting day at the resort and have a relaxing clean comfortable home to do puzzles, enjoy the decks, or curl up with a book in one of the cozy quiet nooks of the house. I'm afraid to say too much or it will never be available!!! Can't wait to rent it again!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

6 of us went for a long weekend (5 adults one 6 month old) and we had room to spare. I have spent a lot of time out on IOP but not much in Wild Dunes. The house is a short walk to the beach and pool. We played golf at the Harbor course. Everything is in such close proximity there is no real need to leave the community but we ventured to Mount Pleasant for dinner one night and downtown another. Overall a wonderful experience made even better by the ease of setup by the owners.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Our family had an amazing time in Wild Dunes for our vacation this year. The house in Pelican Bay was clean, comfortable, and had everything as advertised. There were six people staying for the week and there was plenty of room. Wild Dunes is a beautiful resort. The beaches are clean and only a 5 minute walk from the house. Charleston is a great vacation spot with something for everyone (history, golf, beaches, nightlife, etc.). We'll definitely be back!! Thanks again for making your home available to us!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our first trip to the Isle of Palms and we had a great time at your beach house. The house was very clean and obviously well taken care of!! And, the location was great for us, with only a short walk to the both the pool and the beach, since we have a toddler. We appreciated the little extras you had available like the travel sized soaps and shampoos, as well as the beach toys we could borrow. We hope to be back again next summer!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We were in Wild Dunes for a long weekend with our toddler twins and two teenage children and the house was perfect! Very close to beach and pool. The pool was clean and just the right size and being directly across the street from the Property Owner's Beach House was very convenient. House was clean and decorated very nicely with great TVs, wifi with a really good connection, and as many channels as you could possibly want. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to eat breakfast and dinner in. The owner was very accommodating and wonderful to work with. Overall, a great experience and we would certainly rent this house in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were new to Charleston and rented this Wild Dunes beach house for seven months while we built our own home. We came to like this house and Wild Dunes so much that we were sorry to have to leave. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. It is clean, bright and nicely decorated. The owners were great to work with. There is so much to do within Wild Dunes that you don't have to leave the resort but when you do everything Charleston has to offer is within a short drive.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: We first came to Wild Dunes for a long weekend in 1998 with our extended family. We knew right away that this beautiful beach would become a life long destination for us. In 1999 we purchased our first home here and now we live close by year round. We feel very lucky to have found this slice of heaven!
Why the Owner Chose Pelican Bay:
We fell in love with the Pelican Bay neighborhood because of the close proximity to the beach (just a 1/5 mile), the neighborhood pool and the adorable Victorian style cottages. Our children spent many hours riding their bikes around the cul-de-sac and walking back and forth to the beach and pool. It's a perfect spot for families of all ages.
