We stayed in the middle of July 2008. We had 35 people, and it was great. Loved the tables & chairs set-up, was easy to get food going for so many! Loved that there were 2 fridges, and the shelves in pantry. The playplace for the kids was great, and many happy hours were spent outside. There was problem with water heater/pressure in master bathroom only. One day no hot water at all, and next day water shut off in the middle of the shower. Wasn't a major problem because of other bathrooms in cabin, just inconvienent. The game room/TV room didn't have air conditioning which made it difficult to spend time in there during day, but at night with door open, was ok. Overall, Top notch! Would stay there again!
Owner response:We appreciate their comments. The plumbing problem has been fixed. The game room does have air conditioning, but they must have not opened the vents or turned it on. I wish they would have said something. No one else has had a problem with that. We will better inform the tenants in the future. Richard

We love this place. With the ping pong table, pool table, theater room, giant kitchen area, living room, etc. it was perfect for all ages and enough room for a bazillion people! We had over 25 there and it was never crowded anywhere because there were always different groups doing different things! Marvelous!

This is a great place for a family reunion or other group gatherings! We held a large family reunion their in July and had a wonderful time. The managers were very helpful and courteous. The Lodge is amazing architecture! There is plenty to do in the area. We really enjoyed Mesa Falls and Yellowstone Park. Thanks again. We will be back.

We stayed at Shootout Barn in June 2008 and enjoyed the experience - lots of room and very clean accomodations. However, I would not stay again until the water pressure issue is resolved. We stayed for 4 days without any water pressure for showers/baths, which can be dicey after a few days with 50+ people in the same room!! Also, grass is basically dead. We did enjoy the Lodge and hope these items are addressed for future renters.
Owner response:These people were great, but the pump went out without any notice when they were staying at the lodge. We brought in water, repaired it ASAP and gave them a large credit becuse of their inconveneince. The new pump provides great water pressure and the lawn is turning green fast!

We stayed at the Shootout Lodge for 6 days and 5 nights in July of 2007. The first few days for a family reunion which included many children and adults. There was room for everyone! We all loved the theatre room, the space to sleep and the space to play games and talk. The furniture and rooms were up-to-date, clean, comfortable and easy to use. My family stayed a few days later in the lodge to go to Yellowstone, fishing, site seeing, and rafting. It was close to everything and easy to find! We will definitely be back to stay for a few nights or a week next year! The only thing that could use improvement is some grass or a place outside the kids could run around and play.
Owner response:This lodge is brand new and is just finishing construction. The grass and play area will be there by November 2007.
