Only five minutes from the Airport, in the upscale Marina Vallarta, you arrive at the gated, and exclusive, Shangri la property. Using your own private elevator, which opens directly onto the flat, you enter a 2500 square foot tastefully decorated brand new beach front condominium on the seventh floor! Breath taking views of the ocean from every corner! This is a "center" unit which is more desirable than corner units due to its 500 sqf balcony overlooking the ocean. The unit has three beautiful bedrooms with their private baths and walk in closets. master with king bed, and Two bedrooms with large-size queen beds with high end mattresses. Family room has a very comfortable queen size sofa bed. All high quality linen and towels are provided. There is also a portable crib for infants.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and high end equipment and a breakfast counter. Both the two large bedrooms and family room open to a beautifully furnished and huge (almost 500 square foot) balcony with unobstructed view of the ocean. you can watch the cruise ships passing by!
Washer and dryer are in the unit as well.
The property has one of the largest and most beautiful infinity pools in Puerto Vallarta and a gourmet poolside restaurant and swim up bar. The friendly staff is ready at the pool to server you. The property also has a state of the art gym on the ocean (free to use) and a full service spa and tennis courts.
Just a short walk(one minute from the gate) you arrive at marina Vallarta where you have superb international restaurants, bars, boutiques, art gallery, gourmet coffee shops... Etc. at your disposal!
City center is less than 15 minutes by taxi or bus. Beautiful champion ship golf course is right across the street.
This units is not a full time rental and is mainly for our family use. Hence we have decorated it with top of the line furniture and appliances which are not typical of most rental units. We have no doubt you will love Shangri la and our place as much as we do!

Our main home is in san francisco but PV has been our favorite destination for over 17 years. It was Hard to decide whether we love the excitement of the city more or the serenity of the ocean. so we made PV our 2nd home! We LOVE PV, the marina, and shangri la and we hope you enjoy our home and vallarta as much as we do!

Our family has been coming to Puerto Vallarta for the last 17 years. We love PV as it is very different from most Mexican destinations. It has everything you need for a perfect getaway. The tropical beauty, the amazing ocean, the old cobble stone town coupled with modern amenities and fantastic restaurants! so close by plane from California yet a world of difference! Puerto Vallarta is very safe and it's people are very friendly and kind.

You don't run in to many places that are even better than the photos, but this one is. The condo is beautiful and the kitchen is very well equipped. We like to cook and everything we needed was right there. The master bedroom is heavenly. All the beds are very comfortable. The WiFi and Vonage made keeping in touch with family at home very easy. And the owner is a gem! She provided us with a ton of information up front and quickly helped us with the occasional question while we were there. The pool is the nicest we've ever seen and there's no shortage of lounge chairs. The pool cafe serves very good food at a very reasonable price, and there are many places nearby to eat as well. Victors Tacuba in the Marina quickly became a favorite. It was the perfect getaway for us. The only thing I would have changed is the length of our stay <smile>.
Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, people with disabilities, romantic getaway.

Mitra's place really is a little slice of heaven - perfect location, beautiful furnishings, an incredible deck, spacious, and extremely comfortable. My family of four just stayed there for Spring Break, and had a wonderful time. I loved the deck, my wife loved the 'warm' pool, and the kids loved it all. I was pleasantly suprised at how quiet the complex was, and the availablity of lounge chairs (unlike all of the local hotels, there is no reason to go to the pool early to 'reserve' a spot). Directly across from the marina and some very nice restaurants, and all of the people at Shangra-La are extremely friendly. Mitra is great to work with, always accessible via email, and has equipped her home with all you need for a terrific stay. My only hesitation in our recommendaition is that it might get too popular and we might not be able to reserve it next time! :-) My only serious caveat is that the third bedroom is accessible only through a hallway with a locked door in between - it won't work for younger children. But this home was perfect for our family of four since the couch in the family room is very comfortable. Thanks, Mitra!

we stayed at Mitra's beautifully decorated condo in Shangri-La the last two weeks of 2010. The weather was a bit cool and windy. The unit was very clean and we had no problem checking-in. This condo has everything, is in great shape and exactly as in the photos. Shangri, is one of the top three developments in Vallarta and the nearest to the marina restaurants and shopping area. super convenient. The bus service to el centro or downtown vallarta is inexpensive and runs often all day long. No need for taxis. Shangri's pool, beach and other facilities are very well maintained. It is a pleasure to deal with Mitra and we strongly recommend staying there. There are several great restaurants nearby: PortoBello for dinner, Waffle House for breakfast and Palomas Doradas. Vallarta is charming.

My family stayed here for a week in November, 2010. We have been coming to PV for 7 years now and really like the beachfront property with the proximity of the marina (across the street to the east) and downtown PV (15-20min). For this reason, we always try to get a place along this relatively small stretch of beach. This is the first time I have stayed at Shangri-La and I must say that Mitra's place is stunning! Nicely decorated with incredible views of the sunset/ocean/mountains. The pool is really something else - HUGE and very nice! We didn't discover the heated end of the pool until we crossed this shallow underwater bridge separating the two. We barked like seals as we belly flopped our way across the bridge and immediately discovered... WARM water!! MMMMMMMM. The "cold" end is fine, but the warm end is divine! Nice little bar/restaurant poolside with decent food and prices. Guillermo, the property manager, did an excellent job of making us feel welcome. I heard rumor that some touristas did not like how quiet Shangri-La is. I guess they want more noise and commotion. In fact, if you have teens, they indeed may want more noise and commotion. But if you want relaxing luxury, then this is your place! Will definitely do again in the future. Thanks, Mitra!

We vacationed at this property early November, 2010 with 2 other couples. The unit is absolutely beautiful and the pictures posted are exact replicas of how the condo presents. The pool was spectacular..... huge, clean and with no shortage of lounge chairs. The pool staff was extremely friendly and the food/drinks were plentiful. The grounds of Shangri'la are beautiful and lush with flowers, plants, and trees. The main entrance to the "Marina" is directly across the street from Shangri'la and is home to numerous restaurants, bars and shops.... many of which we frequented!! Starbucks and the "Mega" grocery store are only a short walk away. We found the Owner great to deal with and extremely helpful in providing details of the unit and the surrounding areas. We have already recommended this unit to our friends and family and can only hope it is available to us the next time we return to Puerto Vallarta!!
