I just returned from a three day stay here with my wife and ten-month old baby - we had such a great time in the house and the owners couldn't have been nicer. The house is nicely decorated and has a welcoming feel from the minute you enter - old pine floors, rustic beams, slate counters, and furniture to match - and the place was spotless. Also, very close to town, Round Barn, The Green Cup, swimming, etc. Our son was in heaven! Couldn't have asked for a better spot. Thanks for a memorable weekend stay.

My boyfriend and I rented this farmhouse for three weeks in June and had a wonderful trip. The house is fantastic. We were able to do some work (we are academics; I finished an article and my boyfriend finished the revisions on his book) and able to enjoy the Mad River Valley. The location is perfect -- close to everything in Waitsfield but nicely quiet up on the common. We can't wait to come back.

I stayed here for two weeks in May, and I enjoyed every minute. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures show. It's located out of town just enough to feel like a retreat but plenty close enough to run in for the paper. The owners are a joy. I would stay here every time I'm in the area.

We loved this house - and the property. It is an amazing old home, lovingly and artistically restored. The gardens are fantastic and there are even mountain views. The owner - who was in residence in an adjoining part of the house - couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. It's on a quiet street, near an old common, so though it isn't really off the beaten path it feels as though it is. We highly recommend this property!
