Great Getaway

The house was everything we expected. We had 6 adults and 2 dogs and never once did we feel cramped or crowded. Plenty of room at the dinning table & kitchen. Beds are very comfy. Only downfall was the louvered doors, didn't make much for sound privacy but wasn't that big of a deal. Access to the beach was a bit challenging but the stairway down isn't too far from the house (about a 2 min walk). Great location for whatever you want to do in town. The ocean view was spectacular and our entire family had a WONDERFUL time. Thank you.

In December my wife and I spent three nights at this fun home with our 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and our 8 yr old Aussie and had a wonderful time. The younger ones enjoyed the beach access right off the backyard while my wife and I took the stairs via Yaquina Bay Park only one block away. The grandsons loved the video games and we loved the fireplace and the views from the family room. The house was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The only issue we had was with the partially louvered bathroom doors which did not offer much privacy. We all look forward to renting this great home again.
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed your stay in our beachhouse! We take a lot of pride in making sure that the house is comfortable, kid friendly and updated. Our next project happens to be replacing those crazy louvered doors! When you visit again they will hopefully have been replaced! Thanks for staying in our Home! Millie & rich

My daughter and I were overall very disappointed with our vacation experience here. In general the place did not seem well maintained, especially for the price (walls were dirty and in dire need of paint, dishes and cupboards dirty, dog slobber marks on windows, sand in bathtub, refrigerator badly leaking, yard a mess). Washer/dryer were in a partially completed new addition to the house amongst electrical cords and plaster dirt. For the first 5 days of our 2 week stay we had no TV, Netflix, or front porch light. Beach access at the house is indeed treacherous, although available 2 or 3 blocks away. On the positive side: Nice bed linens and bathroom, & wonderful new kitchen appliances (other than frig). Lots for kids to do (if things are working at the time). In fairness to the owner, he did eventually take care of most of our concerns after our numerous calls, but our hassle really put a damper on our spirits. Would not return.

our stay at your rental was totaly awesome, the view was superb.over all it was fantastic, the only thing keeping it from being excellent is we came home to two strange men working on the house. They told me they had permission to be there. I did not like the idea of strangers being inside with all my personnels, and some timetimes my granddaughters stay behind. I should have been informed of the construction before hand. I did ask the men to leave and not come back until we were done with the house they were very nice and agreed. If this was fixed it would be an excellent ,excellent place to stay. Thank you so much in helping my dream come true The Villines, Hannebaum. and Dyer Families

This was everything we hoped it would be! Beautiful views and comfortable living. Great amenities such as wonderful panoramic views, comfortable furniture, huge walk in shower, high speed internet, and comfortable beds. Quick walk to the beach, close to attractions and shopping. Our four children were never bored, and we all had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back!
Owner response:I am so glad you had a great time, and had everything you needed. I hope you come and stay again soon. Best wishes, Rich Savicky

My family spent a week for Spring Break 2011. The good things were the price, the bath tub, the view and the owners were very nice. Unfortunately it was difficult to get over how grimy and dirty it was. There was not a dish we took out of the cupboards that didn't need to be cleaned and there was no dishwasher. The walls were dirty, the bathroom sink etc...just not clean. Another big disappointment was the beach access. I had back surgery a couple months prior to this and went to the beach from the house once. You had to scale down the side of a cliff and maneuver slippery rocks at the bottom. I am surprised that this could be called beach access. We wouldn't go again.

This is a great house, if you have high standards for a view of the ocean, and a short walk to mostly everything, but low standards for cleanliness. The house was overall not very tidy. I wanted to take a bath but didn't feel the tub was clean enough to do so, the fridge was dirty with food specs, there was huge piles of dog poop all over the yard (pathway to the beach), and there were tiny ants in the Master room bed, where we slept!! There was no view view of the harbor, but its close by, and the walk down to the actual beach from the property was TREACHEROUS!! I would suggest walking down the street to find a different way unless you are a total athlete. In general the house is spacious and has a cool double sided fire place and a nice view. We met the owner and he was a real nice guy, but for the money we would probably not go back.

Our family spent spring vacation at this house in 2009 and enjoyed every minute of it. Gorgeous view, easy beach access and everything we could need or want was right there, including bikes! We can't wait for the opportunity to return for another fun filled week at the beach.
