Villa Perezoso, inspired by modern Balinese design, is a newly built, privately owned, 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom, four story vacation villa in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica (with over 6000 sq feet of living space) nestled amidst the unparalleled natural beauty of Manuel Antonio Antonio Park, along Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Built into a tropical hillside, off a private road, the Villa captures the stunning postcard views of Manuel Antonio National Park and the beautiful bay of Manuel Antonio. THE VILLA FLOOR PLAN--3400 sq feet
Lower level: 3 master suites with bathrooms
Includes the fabulous Grand Master Suite (KING canopy bed), with full balinese inspired bath, double sinks, private deck, small living area, Yoga/massage/exercise space, writing desk. With floor to ceiling glass doors running the length of the room, one can look out to the expansive jungle and ocean views whether relaxing in bed, sitting out on the deck or taking a shower. The 2 other Master Suites are duplicates of each other, one with a KING/canopy bed and the other with 2 Double Beds. Both have large full balinese inspired bathrooms with views, private decks and glass doors running the length of the room providing for great viewing of the wildlife, ocean and jungle.
2nd level:
Capturing the essence of Balinese living, this level features a large living room, dining room, gourmet kitchen, a large full bathroom and an entertainment room complete with a 42" plasma TV/DVD player, 3 sofas, and a stereo/IPOD docking station. There is plenty of lounging and seating space both outdoors and indoors with teak lounge chairs, benches and seating tables poolside. The large wooden indoor dining table seats 12; guests can dine at beautifully set tables or enjoy a casual buffet all prepared and served by our CHEF. Whether lounging in the spacious living room, dining room, entertainment room or terrace, you will be captivated by the beautiful ocean views and wildlife that come to visit.
3rd and 4th level--THE Penthouse--2600sq feet
Upon entering the 3rd level into THE Penthouse's open air living room, one can't help but notice the endless ocean views stretching from one horizon and the outlying jungle at the other end. On either side of the living room are the 2 Master Suites (one King and one Queen) each with large Balinese inspired bathrooms. The showers were designed to create the illusion of showering outdoors as both bathrooms have floor to ceiling glass doors that open out to the ocean and jungle. This floor also has a 2nd smaller Gourmet Kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a dining area perfect for four. A circular staircase leads up to a spectacular large loft with 360 degree windows and views, where one can relax indoors on the Balinese day bed or sun on the spacious private sun terrace--the perfect place for gorgeous sunsets,star gazing, an in house massage, or jacuzzi.
Each of the 5 master suite is outfitted with luxurious linens, towels and bedding, flat screen TV's w/ cable & DVD player, IPOD docking station, spa robes, complimentary bath amenities, closets with safes, A/C and ceiling fans.

Ex-entrepreneur from the corporate world, now doing what I really love to do...specializing in the vacation marketplace. Loves include travel, villa interior design (importing furnishings and accessories from Bali), marketing our villa property. Our goal is to create the perfect vacation experience for our guests. I love what I do, LOVE Manuel Antonio, and hope to have the pleasure of helping you with your vacation, villa needs.
Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio
To us, Manuel Antonio is as close to paradise as it gets. Our dream was to someday live in a tropical haven, near the beach and somewhere not too far from "home" (California). Having traveled nearly all the continents and vacationed on many of the worlds' best islands and tropical destinations, upon arriving in Manuel Antonio in November of 2003, we knew we had to live there someday. Not only was the place magical, the views heavenly, the beaches some of the best we've ever encountered but the friendliness of the people of Costa Rica, the emphasis on preserving their beautiful country, we knew when we arrived that we were hooked and that we wanted to make Costa Rica our next home. We found a gorgeous property with some of the best views we have encountered, bought it and started building. With Bali being another favorite destination of ours, we wanted to bring what we loved about Bali to Costa Rica--from the feeling of living outdoors to using natural materials and woods and stones to the top notch service they provide their guests. Our architect did a beautiful job taking our vision and in creating Villa Perezoso (named for the resident sloth), with every room having distinctive ocean and jungle views. We travelled to Bali to have all the furniture and accessories custom built for the property and had it transported to Costa Rica. It was a labor of love building it from the ground up and we love the finished product as do our guests.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
What we love most about the property is its uniqueness. From the views, to the monkeys, sloths and birds who frequent the property, to the wonderful staff, to the extra touches we provide for our guests. We built the property as an investment property specifically designed for the comfort of accomodating guests. From the high thread count linens and plush towels and down comforters, to the flowers in every room, all the amenities one could need being available, is what our guests say have them wanting to return again and again. The BEST thing however, is the staff. Unlike any other villa, the property was built with a separate live in quarters for the house manager who has been with us for years (we hired him at the beginning of the construction)and he is available 24/7 to meet any and all of your needs. His warm smile, contagious charm , his desire to please and his knowledge about the area and services, along with the chef is what our guests say makes the stay perfect. And as far as our brilliant chef ...he too has a wonderful personality and a great talent in the kitchen and he is part of our staff (all the other villas offer this at an extra cost). What our guests love about him (you can read more on our testimonials page on our website) is that the shopping, cooking and clean up is all taken care of by him! A true vacation experience (and his top notch, delicious food is better than most of the restaurants)! We also love that nature beckons right outside, I personally love the monkey visits and am always excited on seeing a "perezoso" in the nearby guarumo tree. If I could pick out two of my favorite things about Villa Perezoso is 1) the staff and how they spoil us and our guests and 2) the openness of each of the rooms (especially the bathrooms with floor to ceiling glass doors that open up allowing you to shower looking out to the vast jungle and pacific ocean. Its a slice of paradise found.

We are so grateful for the week we spent at Villa Perezoso. We had no idea how incredibly well we would be treated. The hospitality was second to none. Victor and Over tended to our every need. We feel like we just stayed at the most personable, warm, and special top hotel in the world that just happened to have a four star restaurant! Please come visit us in the US. This villa and staff is truly a 5 star experience! The villa manager handles every request to the finest detail, from pre trip requests to every request we had while at the villa was done in ways that exceeded all our expectations. Excursions, beach activities (including arranging beach service with chairs, umbrellas and food service), dinner reservations, spa treatments, special arrangements for a birthday celebration and wedding anniversary, transportation from airport transfers to every location we wanted to go was arranged. The private chef is truly 5 star! Fantastic cuisine prepared to perfection, with special dietary needs fulfilled. Served impeccably and the times we requested. Wow! The Balinese decor with the modern architecture is stunning! The views of nature and ocean are inspiring! This is everything a 5 star traveler would want and desire. A 5 star villa and staff in one of the most beautiful places in the world to visit. We are seasoned 5 star travelers, this villa was superb!

We had the most incredible experience at Villa Perezoso. It was the perfect escape from city life. The staff was so helpful and considerate, making our vacation smooth sailing. We never had to worry about a thing. The beaches and the rain forest are incredible. A visit to Villa Perezoso should be on your bucket list.

We stayed at Villa Perezoso from August 3rd to August 10th. We just got back last night. We were a group of two families. My wife and I had our two kids. Our neighbors came and brought their three kids. Our kids were age 6 and 13 and their kids were 7, 12, and 13. In total there were 9 of us. We arrived in Costa Rica and had someone waiting for us outside with a sign with our names. We had arranged a 10 person van from the airport to the villa. After the drive we finally arrived to find Victor waiting for us with drinks for everyone. I'm not sure what I'd call Victor's roll. He did so much for us. He arranged transportation, tours, coordinated meals, gave recommendations on restaurants, found a babysitter for us, and the list goes on. I'd say concierge but he really did much more than that. He also speaks excellent English. Over (Ober?) was the chef. He prepared breakfast and dinner for all of us each morning. Every day they asked if we had any special requests and each time we told them to make whatever they liked. He was an excellent cook and we all wanted to bring him home with us. We had a variety of fish over the course of our stay including snook, tuna, mahi mahi, and snapper. He also made excellent ribs and beef tenderloin. After dinner each night he made the kids ice cream with various toppings. The house itself was very nice. I won't go into great detail on the layout. You can look up the web site to find that information. We rented the entire house so we had all five bedrooms. We stayed in the master bedroom on the lower floor and the our neighbors took the king bed on the penthouse floor. There was plenty of room for all the kids and we probably could have made due with just four bedrooms instead of five. This was a great arrangement for traveling with another couple because it gave us plenty of room and separation so we could have our time away from each other. The house had a US phone number that allowed us to make and receive calls back to the states. We didn't use it much but it was nice to be able to talk to friends and family occasionally without racking up a bunch of long distance charges. I believe the house is only a few years old but I can still tell it is kept in great shape and maintained well. Unfortunately they don't give enough room here to write everything I'd like. Bottom line is that this was a great place to stay and we all eagerly agreed that we'd like to come back and stay here again.

"We thank you for the absolute trip of a lifetime. From the moment Victor met us at the front of the Villa door, we felt welcomed, nurtured, embraced and nourished thoroughly body, spirit and soul. Chef Over is a gift to the world. His creative, over-the-top delicious meals were a constant source of delight and joy each day. We so enjoyed him, his joy of life and his talents. To dear Victor, the Villa is a beautiful location but with him here it is truly a home away from home. We trusted him to make our vacation special and he made each adventure's logistics seem effortless when we know they take much care, thought and work. He ensured that we were happy, relaxed, safe, and having fun whenever, whatever we wish. Cecelia works so hard to take all our cares away..beds made clean, lovely rooms all with a smile. I just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Perezoso where I went to celebrate my 50th Birthday. The first week was spent just with my sweetheart, and the second week was spent just with my 11 best girlfriends and family. It truly was the most unbelievable trip of a lifetime! The Villa and Penthouse are exquisitely decorated and appointed, the location is fantastic, the Concierge, Victor, is the most generous, attentive, caring and kind person you could hope for. The gourmet Chef, Over, cooked such spectacularly delicious meals with grace and humor, and the housekeeping staff, Cecilia and her crew, managed to keep our chaos tidy and organized without every being in the way. I wanted an indulgent, pampered experience with my sweetie, best girlfriends and family for my 50th and that's exactly what I got. Everyone of us left our time there feeling rejuvenated, replenished, pampered, indulged and very well taken care of. It couldn't possibly have been a better experience! I highly, highly recommend it!!!!!

"Life on occasion offers us incredible surprises...to be received for 6 nights in a wonderful villa that cultivates refinement down to the smallest details. Everything is harmonious in this house thanks to the attentive staff. One of the best thing about visiting a house is when you observe the owner's personality stamped all over it. Villa Perezoso gives you this feeling : clearly charmed by Asia, the owners have imported most of the furniture from Bali and paid attention to every detail. As a result, the villa is perched on several levels of a densely forested hillside facing the Pacific ocean and provides a tasteful combination of comfort and elegance. Life at Villa Perezoso is perfectly balanced between indoor and outdoor life. All rooms are equipped with private terraces offering panoramic views of the jungle and the Pacific ocean. Our king-size bed provided the ultimate wake-up view of the pacific ocean, jungle and tropical sky. The morning song of monkeys had been an unforgettable souvenir to me : who needs alarm clocks when you've got monkeys to let you know it's breakfast time? Days here can be spent doing nothing at all or exploring the tropical surroundings : you must pay a visit to the Manuel Antonio National Park but also enjoy the black-sand beaches close to the villa . You will surely get a chance to see neighbours such as iguanas, monkeys ... or simply relax by the pool with staff looking after you suggesting simple but classy drinks and a gourmet food mixing Costa Rican and international dishes. To me Villa Perezoso is a great combination for families or group of friends who want to explore the unique flora and fauna all around but, at the same time, are looking for chic design super-comfortable furnishings and a gourmet kitchen managed by an excellent staff."
