The May Caper at 815 Beach Avenue is an ocean front Victorian "cottage" in the historic district of Cape May. There are balconies on the second floor that offer a full view of the ocean, and a large sweeping porch on the first floor.
The May Caper was built in 1876 and retains much of its original architectural detail. We have large rooms, high ceilings, ocean breezes and off street parking. We offer an informal atmosphere, a welcome to children and large families. We do not have wall to wall carpeting, a pool, air conditioning or cable television.
Rentals run from Saturday at 2PM to Saturday at 10AM from May 30-October 10.
The house is equipped with blankets, pillows, kitchen utensils, adequate for simple cooking. Each room has a fan. We ask that you bring sheets & towels.
There is a telephone provided to receive and make local calls.
