We had a great time on our visit in San Diego in between Christmas and New Year's. The owners, Al and Janie, were so nice and Janie always responded so quickly to my emails and phone calls! The house was perfect for our family of 7, which included 2 small children and a small dog! The house had everything - you really just needed to bring yourself, clothes and toiletries. Kitchen was fully stocked and it was great having a washer and dryer. We cooked most days and even used the grill since the weather was amazing. If we decide to do another big family trip, I won't even think twice - this house is it! I definitely recommend this home!
Recommended for:Pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our stay was delightful ..... Who knew that Coronado was so inviting ! Alas, we had only been to "The Dell' in the past ! The Cottage is filled with wonderful books, and beautiful pieces collected by the owners during their most colorful travels! Really could have just curled up and read and had the occasional soak in the hot tub. But there were many local dining spots to visit and our two Dogs insisted on walks and trips to the Dog Beach . What a treasure this home is, and with the owner showing up with freshly caught fish one day ........ Are you kidding? What's not to love !
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

We spent a week here in March, 2011, enjoying every minute! The house is so well stocked with everything you need from bathroom and beach towels to kitchen ware. We loved having the bikes to ride down to the Hotel del Coronado, enjoyed the jacuzzi several nights, loved being able to grill out some hamburgers for the kids and friends in the back yard, enjoyed the front porch and back covered porch, etc. I could go on and on with lots of accolades. Janie and Al are great hosts - they made this trip one of our most memorable trips to California. It was the first time many of our relatives had been in California. The weather cooperated with us being cool in the early mornings and late afternoons and warming up during the day. Thanks for a great time had by all!!! Maybe our paths will cross again one day.
