Perfect Getaway

We were a group of 8 ladies and it was the perfect place for our getaway. Some snacks and drinks were provided which was a nice touch. The owner recommended a place for lunch which we went to and enjoyed while waiting to get into the place. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay!

Great Home and Fantastic Hosts

The hosts went above and beyond to make the experience unique and fun for all ages. The kids loved the treasure hunt. They were quick to respond to texts. The house is well stocked and they provide many extras for the pool, beach, and other outings. It is a nice central location.

Let the Fun Begin

The property and house were very clean and ample room in the house for us. It was close to a lot of the activities we went to which was a bonus. The neighborhood felt very safe. The only thing was that it would have been nice have a heated pool to swim as the water was to cold to swim. Otherwise our vacation was a ten out of ten.

Great stay!

Loved this location- convenient to all of the things we wanted to see in San Diego but far enough removed to be a nice, quiet getaway. Communication with the owners was great and the amenities were fantastic. Would highly recommend!

Our Family Getaway

We are so grateful for the property. Steven was very responsive, accommodating to our needs, following up to answer our questions. The dishwasher had just broken down before our arrival but I’m sure it will be repaired/replaced shortly. The location was perfect for us as one of our sons and his family live on the same street. Thank you Steven!

Centrally located and plenty of space

Family of 5, had space for all the kids to have their own room and own TV. Too cold for pool but enjoyed the hot tub. Location is easy to get everywhere but nice and quiet for relaxing at end of day. Has all the basics you need. Some areas are dated/worn and need of TLC, but not a big deal (drains in bathroom are slow, floorboards coming up here and there). Overall worked well for our family vacation!

Family vacation

We had family coming from multiple states a to come and stay. It was easy to get to and a great location. The house is close to many of the areas we wanted to visit, which made it convenient for getting around San Diego. There was plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware, which made it nice for cooking our meals.

The family gateway stay

We really enjoyed our stay! It was such a beautiful and spacious home. Steven and his family were great host, they provided board games and a little treasure hunt for when we arrived. we were here for my brothers bootcamp graduation so it was a special trip when we haven’t seen him in 3 months. We really enjoyed the hot tub! I would highly recommend people to stay here and I would gladly come back if I’m ever in San Diego again.

Great House

Everything was fantastic. Didn’t get to use the pool or hot tub but both looked wonderful. House was super clean and the snacks were a great addition. Would definitely stay here again.

Best graduation ever

We had a great time at the property! The lounge area in the back was comfortable and the weather was beautiful. We were able to talk and eat and drink together around the family style table for my graduation party. We took the suggestions offered in the property’s book and went to La Jolla shores beach! My son loved it there! We had a great time here!

Great stay

Great location and property! Thanks for the start-out groceries and snacks and a lovely, clean, tidy home! We comfortably fitted 2 families of 5 with kids between 6 and 14. Loved the pool and hot tub, and the accessibility to some great San Diego attractions. Made for an awesome holiday with great memories!

Quiet place w/pool for the grandkids

Neighborhood was quiet. Pool was clean (little too cold for the adults) but kids played in it. Host was communicative and even let us check in a little early. Great place for family to relax and enjoy time together. I would stay again.

Great place

The house was clean and well equipped when we arrived. It is close to the beach and about 20 minutes from Legoland and the wild animal park. The pool and the hot tub were great especially since we were there during a heat wave in San Diego. The host is easy to contact with questions. We would stay there again

Great Stay

The house is as advertised and Steven is a great host - very responsive and happy to provide recommendations. The house is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of groceries, coffee and other shopping with easy access to surrounding highwayys. Overall, my family was very happy staying here

Quiet, Peaceful Neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was located in a quiet neighborhood! It was conveniently located to everywhere we visited. Being outdoors, in and around the pool and hot tub was private, like being in our own little world! I would stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family!

Perfect location in San Diego!

The house is in a perfect location not far from most of the fun in the area. The home itself was very clean and beautiful. We had fun in the pool and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. The host was so understanding and helpful with a challenging situation that came up with our family. We highly recommend the home and would definitely choose this home again.

Great House in a Great Location

Just a super nice house in an awesome location. Literally about 20 mins drive to either the beach or downtown! Also at least when we were driving only experienced traffic for very short period and often not at all. Owners were very nice and helpful. Would certainly stay here with them again in the future.

Beach Trip!

Beautiful property! Loved all the decor and all the attention to detail. The home is so cozy and we felt right at home. The location is perfect. The pool and the spa was amazing! This house has been a labor of love. We lived here until 2014. At which point we moved to Northern California, Sacramento. Amber and I (Steven) run the VRBO and we take great pride in hosting.

We purchased this property due to it's quiet but central location. We love being minutes the beach, downtown, but also from our jobs. We have since moved, but you can now avail of our great place. This is our one and only VRBO. We love to come and visit and set it up like a home. Expect to find all you need here.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The living area including the kitchen and dining room is a great open space which is great for large family dinners. Huge new hard wood Dining table suitable for parties of 10. The outdoor space as you can probably see from the pictures was a labor of love. It's the perfect outdoor setting for a San Diego Vacation.
Hot tub - Relax and unwind in our new addition of of 2020. All new flooring in May 2023.
Finally, it's a great location central to everything San Diego. There will be a couple of reasons why you will love to stay with us but allow us to give a couple of suggestions too on best things to do in San Diego.
Cycle the bay, Visit Coranado island and cycle around it, Swim in La Jolla Cove, visit our local Thai restaurant, visit the best restaurant in San Diego, in California, in the US? "Costa Brava". And then for something different, do what we did, visit Sunset cliffs and have a picnic or better still bring one of the folding tables we will have for you to set yourself up for a unique dining experience off the beaten path. All the details are in our guest book. See our pictures for what we did.
