  4 years of short vacations visiting our favorite winter get away-LaPaz, El Centenario, El Comitan areas led us to spend a much longer time this year at Los Aripes (our 2nd time). Recently retired both of us wanted a great place for R & R. So glad we came back to owner Fernano's 4-plex. We have made so many great friends here, Mexicans, Norte Americanos, as well as visitors from other countries. The view is fantastic throughout a 24 hr day, sunrise, sunshine, beautiful blue water & the city of La Paz nestled in front of the mountains, sunset, moon rising, stars shinning & the beautiful view of the lights of La Paz at night. The apartments are roomy and comfortable to live in. Everything is clean & works well. The showers are hugh with plenty of warm water. Some changes & upgrades have occurred since the pictures, flowers & palm tress have grown but otherwise this place & it;s information are completely correct. Pool maybe a little cool for some but for those of us from the northwest it is just refreshing. Even though it is a 4-plex privacy is not a issue. We love this place & the beach road in front provides free W/E entertainment. This will be our home for at least 6 months every winter. Many side trips are within easy driving distance, the city of La Paz is full of history, great restaurants, the beautiful Malicon & shopping, the airport is near, the ferry terminal to mainland MX. is a few kilometers out of town, tour ships are available for extended tours of the Bay of Cortez & boats of all sizes are available for day trips to fish or swim with the seals & whale sharks. This definetely is our home away from the northwest cold for now & in future may be our fulltime home. Baja California Sur is definetely a part of God's Country. Thank you Fernando for providing us with our little piece of paradise in the city of peace.

  I came down here in October 2010 and am still here mid-September 2011. This is a wonderful four-plex right on the beach, heated pool, safe and secure, gated, ample parking, friendly-helpful-accommodating landlord who lives a couple hundred meters away and keeps a good eye on things. My neighbors are year-round tenants. I can’t say enough good things about Los Aripes! I am very happy and intend to stay here as long as Fernando will have me. This is a great opportunity for a long-term home. A vehicle is necessary as we are on the beach road outside La Paz proper, between El Comitan and El Centenario, about 8 miles to town.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Well, you just never know what you are going to get when you rent a prperty from the net, pics are nice but believe me when I tell you, Los Aripes is the real deal!!! Our apartmet had two bedrooms, truly a million dollar view and the pool is about 20 feet from the ocean. The owner lives only half a block from there and is always reachable via cell ph, talk about getting the personal touch. Fernando (the owner)is very knowledgable of the Baja, from where to have the best steak to the best fishing spots, scuba areas, kayaking and more. Do not hesitate to engage him in conversation. This is a place that we will be visiting on the yearly basis fr sure, we have a new favorite place to stay in the Baja.

  I was lucky enough to spend a week in Los Aripes. The apartments are up to American standards, the furniture is very comfortable, the silverware, china, microwave, fridge and a small oven were all brand new. The view, the view, the view, t is worth waking up early to see that sunrise. I highly recommend Los Aripes to every body.

  My young daughter, wife and I had a wonderful stay at Los Aripes. Fernando and his wife were so helpful and accomodating to our questions and requests (especially for hot weather!) when we had them, which we really appreciated. At Los Aripes you really get the feeling of being "away from it all" amidst the usually very tranquil surroundings. And La Paz is only ten minutes away by car for a walk on the Malecon and all of the basics are much closer in El Centenario. We enjoyed the pool and the well designed suites, hot shower. Los Aripes is an especially good place also to enjoy seeing the sun and moon rise and set. Most of all, we all just appreciated being made to feel at home despite the many miles we had come. As our daughter liked to say, Los Aripes is our "Mexican Apartment".

  I would invite and recommend "Los Aripes" to people of all ages. It is a very relaxing and safe atmosphere, with great views of La Paz. Very comfortable and well taken care of.

  Staying at "Los Aripes" was a wonderful and relaxing experience. Having a luxurious atmosphere every morning made this vacation complete. The amenities were above expectations, and I appreciated the place being checked regularly for any problems or concerns we might have.

  The most memorable experience and moment in a very long time. I had the wonderful opportunity to have my wedding and wedding family get together (party) at "LOS ARIPES" apartments homes, all while enjoying the viewtiful beach front view. I highly recommend this beautiful vacation spot to anyone wishing to get away and enjoy of the best things life has to offer.

  Nice, nice getaway... ideal for big families and rent it all. All together and yet very private. We were just 2.Other apt was taken by a nice couple and we had lots of fun. Very quiet place. Relaxing. Bring books and wine. Nice restaurants around.
