The Sea Ranch, located on a 10-mile stretch of California’s Coastal Highway begins about 90 miles of north of San Francisco and represents a perfect attempt to blend architecture and nature. This area is certainly one of the most unique and picturesque areas in Northern California and is dotted with an array of distinctly unique homes that were designed to blend naturally with the landscape.
The Oceanstar was designed by Ralph Matheson and blends perfectly with the Sea Ranch landscape. This luxurious, spacious, comfortable home with great blue water views and has a large open kitchen, large rock wall fireplace, Flat Panel HD TV with satellite service including many movie and music channels, and DVD player with a DVD library with over 50 top titles. Master bedroom also has satellite TV! Home is furnished with two stereos that includes AM/FM radio, cassette & CD player and MP3/Ipod player, microwave, a large soaking tub in master suite, as well as an outside spa/hot tub and a full size Air Hockey and Foosball game for kids or just kids at heart. The guest bedroom has also has a queen bed as well as a bunk and twin bed for children or extra guests. We have even included two brand new 26" mountain bikes for our guests to enjoy.
The OCEANSTAR home has been specially decorated to blend perfectly with its spectacular California ocean views. The beautiful Cape Cod décor even includes many personal touches that help make our home, a home away from home for each visitor.
The Sea Ranch is just as much a family community as it is a private retreat and we invite anyone to be part of this great community no matter how long you stay!

I fell in love with this area and this property in particular the second I saw it. All interior decor was personally picked out to hopefully help enhance the coastal experience for everyone who stays here.

I have had the luxury of being able to live all over the US and have traveled all over the world and more than anywhere else I have ever been the atmosphere of Sea Ranch and the ability to just relax and unwind here is second to none.

I was looking for a romantic getaway and this property was absolutely perfect! The photos do NOT show the true beauty of the exterior and/or interior of this California Paradise. The details of the decor definitely shows that this is more than just a rental but a place for people to experience Sea Ranch with a home away from home feel. The comfort, cleanliness, property layout, views and amenities of this property definitely will have me planning another trip to experience it all over again. I would highly recommend this to family & friends as well as anyone that is looking to find a perfect place to enjoy.

My family of 6 just returned from some time at this property, and we had a blast. Kids loved the heated community pools, games in home, video selection (some awesome kid movies) and perfectly heated Jacuzzi. We all loved the walks along the ocean, where you can easily spot deer, sea lions, and a wide variety of birds. Gualala and Point Arena are short drives and offer some good restaurants, coffee shops, bakery (Franny's is a must do), grocery shopping, etc. Lighthouse in Point Arena was fun to check out, and local beaches are a short drive or walk. House had all the amenities you'd need in the kitchen and bedrooms, including a VERY large master bathtub! Beds are comfortable, but mostly, this is just a great place to spend some quality time with people you love. Cheers.

My family and I stayed here in October and had a wonderful time. We walked to the ocean, the kids played games int he house. The hot tub was great and the area was very relaxing. We even used the pool. We fished, went tide pooling and spent a day at the beach. I would definately recommend this location to others and will hopefully be staying here again soon.

From the moment we walked in the door we knew Ocean Star was where we wanted to be. The home has tasteful coastal decor, fun game tables and other amenities. By the way, the picture in the master was very pleasing and the bed comfy. During the day we enjoyed wildlife viewing including whale sightings from the large window in the living area. There are great hiking trails, one leads to a log bench that is also a favorite spot for whale & seal viewing. Nights were spent between the secluded hot tub and a roaring fire. Suitable for families or couple retreat. Returning soon.

I recently brought my married sister, her husband and my mother here for a visit for the first time last year for a holiday family treat. We loved the location of the house and everything about it. The amenities were perfect all of us loved spending the days watching the whales spout outside and the nights playing air hockey and fooseball... It was like being a kid again for all of us including my 68 year old mother who said it was the most amazing trip she had ever been on.

I really love this house. The airhockey table and foosball table were great for the kids and even the adults loved them too. The view was so wonderful and we loved seeing the whales as they passed in front of the windows.

My wife and I brought our grown daughter, son in law and their kids here a long needed family getaway. We loved how peaceful and natural the area is. The wildlife came right up into the front yard on a daily basis and the house is just as perfect as the rest of the area. The kids loved all the movies, game tables the bunk beds.
