This bed-sit on the 3rd floor with lift is quiet and sunny thanks to a large window.
It is furnished in a functional and elegant manner and consists of is a large living room (with a double sofa-bed), a kitchenette and bathroom (with shower), and a spacious mezzanine with a wrought iron spiral staircase leading up that houses a double bed (or singles if preferred).
The kitchenette is fitted out for four/five people with stove, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave oven, washing machine, dryer etc. Satellite television, individual heating system, air-conditioning, safe, hairdryer etc. All the bed-sits are supplied with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linen.
Wi-fi is available upon request.
Only recently renovated, this apartment is located in the historic centre of Florence,in an area completely forbidden to car trafic (pedestrian), just a stone’s throw from the Duomo and all the main monuments and galleries. It is the ideal spot for visiting museums etc. in the morning and then in the afternoon visiting the myriad of shops of the world’s most famous designer names. Great apartment and great location. We spent a month and enjoyed the view of the Duomo out our windows. This is not one apartment. There are three, apparently similar, but not identical. All have Duomo views, just at different angles. Ours did not match the photos on the VRBO site, though it was similar. There was no gas fireplace in ours. Despite my email to the owners asking if there really is a dryer, and being assured there was, when we arrived, Lorenzo said there is no dryer. We were provided a plastic rack to air dry clothes. Leave your dryer sheets at home. This is the first Florence apartment we've stayed in that required four keys at four diffrerent doors. Allow extra time to get each lock to give the respective key back to you. Except for the front door to the building, I wished for three-in-one oil to help out the other locks. When we had a cold snap, I called Lorenzo to ask how to turn on heat. He was "too busy" that day. We never did get heat; I suspect heat for the entire building isn't turned on until one can see one's breath. Lorenzo was very nice to us. I just think he thought we were crazy for wanting heat. Overall, a good experience. Just don't expect all the features in any one apartment.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

The apartment was great! First, I think it is much nicer than the pictures appear. We were a bit hesitant with our choice, but were completely surprised with how nice it was. Second, the location is great (it was why we chose the apartment it the first place). It is very conveniently located and in the heart of everything. We stopped by several times during the day to drop off purchases or rest our feet. Third, Lorenzo was good to work with. He had a binder with instructions for the apartment and local recommendations. He made our stay very easy there. We would recommend this apartment to a friend!

I agree with other reviewers and enjoyed the apartment. We had a little trouble reaching Lorenzo when we first arrived - I gather he's busy, but we tried to phone him 3 or 4 times before we connected..The elevator is a welcome convenience, since the apartment is 3 floors up. We found the 4 key and 4 locked door situation a little cumbersome. The narrow circular staircase could be especially challenging for anyone without good agility. Lorenzo was a little slow coming up with the access codes for the wireless internet (but it was fine after he did). Once he heard about it from us, he was quick to fix the apartment heating system, which had stopped working. All that said, this is a clean, efficient and comfortable flat and the location is as good as I can imagine in Florence (my wife might not agree after enduring celebratory shouts and calls into the early morning - we were there the weekend of All Saints Day, so this might have had something to do with the noise from the piazza). Everything is within easy walking distance and the Duomo is the center of the city.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

The apartment was perfect and exactly as depicted! You could almost touch the Duomo out of the windows the location couldn't be more central! Lorenzo was a fabulous host. We highly recommend this property for a fabulous vacation!

The apartment is exactly as advertised and could not be located any more conveniently! You can walk to everything Florence has to offer from this place. We enjoyed restaurants that Lorenzo recommended in the folder he left for us, and they helped us with scheduling a cab ride for 3 in the morning. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Florence and recommend it to our friends.

The pictures do not cheat. It is just as charming as it looks. Florence is very safe, but this building is very secure. There was not internet, but a internet cafe is three doors away. Best location. Management/owner is good to work with. A calm retreat in central Florence. Restaurant below is great. Grocery near by.
